Official Football League iPhone App released...

..for those with an iPhone/iPod touch, the Football League have released their own official app - and it's free.

http://www.nottinghamforest.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10308~2141971,00.html

install the app, then select "Nottingham Forest" from the list of clubs, and get news, info and other assorted stuff; it's mainly the stuff on the OS, but in a more iPhone-friendly format.

There is (inevitably...) a "Premium" option too, but the free version is quite good.

(Mods - please feel free to move this if it belongs somewhere else!)

just downloaded, but before this i have been quite happy using an app called ifooty which is also free, and does most of the same things: News, live score updates, minute by minute text commentry during a match, results ,fixtures, tables, transfer gossip, ect ...also it lets you chat with other fans of the same club (or other clubs)- during the match where the chatroom will be most busy -or anytime on a match day ( you have to pay £4.99 to get this feature on the football league app i believe)- also another advantage is that it isnt only for the english football league its got all the leagues in Europe and can be used for international football as well.

Hope this helps

Looks pretty good - I already succumbed to the upgrade and just spent a pleasant 9 minutes reliving us beating West Brom last season :)

For one season I'd like to somehow get the fixtures put into the Calender on my phone without having to do it manually!

You can, by this method, if you have Outlook:

On the OS fixture page download the fixture list, import to Outlook (and pop it in the Personal Folder > Calendar), then sync your phone & remember to ensure Sync Calendar is checked.

Sorted. :)

(well, this certainly works for iPhone....)

Adam - Flagman's method works if you have Outlook; if not, you can import the fixtures in to Google Calendar, and then set that up on your iPhone and it will sync the fixtures straight on to the iPhone (which is how I did it, not having Outlook on my Mac!)

Teamwork. Me like! :)

If you have an iPhone there's an app if you search for 'Nottingham Forest Fixtures' it's 59p but it automatically imports all the forest matches onto your iPhone calendar and if you use iCal on mac imports them into that too
