FOND THREAD - WELCOME
Unfortunately after last seasons fortuitous promotion and Nigel's post match over zealous comments about backing the club financially in the Championship - The original FOND membership list was destroyed in a moment of weakness.
Predictably after a month of players leaving through the exit door and only one token signing paid for by the 10% season ticket price increase imposed by Mr Doughty the signs are, that Mr Doughty is yet again failing the once proud fans of Nottingham Forest.
A return to the third flight of English football is unthinkable and only some serious investment from Mr Doughty will give us a chance of Championship survival.
Our Venture Capitalist owner has done nothing for Forest during his stewardship of our club. His minimal limited investment has been equalled by a fan base that has continued to turn up year in year out despite the terrible standard of football on offer.
Nigel had the funds at his disposal to ensure an immediate return from the third tier, instead he was quiet content why we trawled around for three long years only escaping thanks to a controversial points deduction imposed upon another club.
Failure to invest this season will result in sustained protests against the regime that has turned our club into a laughing stock.
Its now or never Mr Doughty.

Admitidly we don't expect a stampede to sign up at this point, but as time goes by we do antisipate the numbers will increase dramatically.
Please do not misunderstand the aims and direction of FOND.
As Forest fans we all want the same, a successful club competing at the level of football dictated by the size of the club.
Nottingham is a large City with a potentially huge fan base. The fact we managed 20k average crowds in the third flight is a massive credit to the loyal fans who follow the club.
Nottingham has the National Water Sports Centre, National Tennis Centre, National Ice Stadium, Trent Bridge Cricket Ground to name a few. Do we not deserve a football team to match the size of the city?
A decade of misery imposed by Nigel Doughty has come to a crossroads now. There can be no going back.
Lets hope Nigel really has changed and this is a fresh start for everyone. A 10% ticket increase twinned with estimated additional income of 9 million generated by Championship football has given our Chairman an extra 11 million he did not have last season! Lets use that for a starter to give us the best possible opportunity of success.
