Lots of games this month, what's the toughest one and what are your predictions (midweek games in red)?

Sheffield Wednesday (H)
Coventry (A)
Doncaster (A)
Sheffield Utd (H)
Middlesbrough (H)
Leicester (A)

I'd say 1-0 for us against Wednesday, 2-0 against Coventry, we'll settle for a 0-0 at Donny and Brough, and do the double over the Bin Dippers with a 2-1.

Our East Midlands rivals are looking at these run ins ...

Derby - Sheffield Utd (A), Newcastle (H), Birmingham (H - FA Cup), Preston (H), Swansea (H), West Brom (A)

Leicester - Blackpool (A), Doncaster (H), Scunthorpe (H), Bristol City (A), Plymouth (A), Doncaster (A), Forest (H)

Derby's run looks like a total nightmare, can you see them picking up anything beyond maybe a draw against Preston?

Leicester look like they've got an easier time, and might creep back into the play-offs with a few wins.

I can remember a few years ago when we played in their last ever game at Belle Vue (think it was on Boxing Day?). Paul Smith chucked the ball in the back of his own net and we lost 1-0. It was a shit game, in a shit stadium and we got a shit result. They were dark, dark days.

Quite a tough month this time around. February always seems to be difficult for us - I think we struggled last year.

If we're still in the top three at the end of the month, I think we'll have done well.

Sheffield Wednesday (H) Win
Coventry (A) Win
Doncaster (A) Draw
Sheffield Utd (H) Draw
Middlesbrough (H) Win
Leicester (A) Draw

Three wins and three draws. I reckon Leicester away will be the toughest test and I guess we're lucky that we're playing Sheffield United and Boro at home. 12 points from a possible 18.

West Brom have Blackpool (a), Plymouth (a), Scunthorpe (h), Reading (a) - FA Cup, Cardiff (a), Bristol City (a), Derby (h)

They're a tough bunch of games and I can only see them definitely winning at Plymouth and at home to Scunny and Derby but this league is mad. We'll see I guess!

Sheff Wed on not doing bad lately won 5 in 6 is it ? they'll be a tough game

Donny are our boggy team

Middlesborough Celtic could be very tricky if these players start to play like they can do.

Not sure about Leicester.

Difficult month I think, we'll do bloody well to be in the top 3 come March time

The next 3 games could very well define our season.

I was thinking earlier that its very possible that we could go top of the league at Coventry. In reality though, i think Derby will roll over for the toon like everyone seems to. That means we probably need to win against Wednesday, Cov and Donny to put any real pressure on top spot. Assuming Derby cede 3 pts to the toon, we need the welsh teams - Cardiff and Swansea - to take points off the geordies. Since both of these games are against teams slugging away for a top 6 (or better) spot, theres a very good chance this will happen.

Would be very difficult to call how forest would handle taking top spot. But with two home games after this, and given our home record recently, it would be nice to think they would have time to get used to the idea before a difficult away game at Leicester.

The good news though is that the next 2 games are against teams that have struggled with our pace this season.

I am going to be greedy and say I would like 16 points frm the 18.

I'd be delighted with 12 points from the 18. I doubt it would be enough to be top but I'd be pretty confident of holding 2nd spot with that form. I can't see the Baggies picking up 5 wins out of the next 6. It would set us up great for the grand finale ;D

I think we will struggle against Sheffield Utd. I doubt we'll lose, but it seems like ages since we last beat them.

It's the only home game I'll miss all season - and after Derby, it's the match I most want to see us win.

Yeah that was a horrible away day, it was freezing as well that day.

I think our results this month will be:

Sheff Wed 2-0 win
Coventry 1-0 win
Doncaster 1-1 draw
Sheff Utd 1-0 win
Middlesbrough 1-0 win
Leicester 0-0 draw

Will get us nicely back on track :)

It sounded like they played like D*rby when we went to their place. We can probably expect more of the same. Its got to be The Moose and McKenna both starting for this one to combat this sort of shit.

if we can get through this run of tough games till in touch with the top 2, through feb and march mostly consisting of difficult fixtures, our last are elativly "easy" games, and should help our run in, but feb is a huge month for us, will define our entire season me thinks
