I just want to ask this question; Are we actually linked officially to a player/ s or is it just pure speculation, we all have players we would love to see sign for forest but, is there any official confirmation on bids going into other clubs?

Yea, I can safely say i havent heard of us making an official bid for a long time. However the board did confirm we made bids in January for Moses, Shorey and Pratley. Obviously Moses has moved on, but the other two are seemingly still available so it isnt a huge jump to think we might move for these players again, especially in the case of Pratley.

That’s what this thread was intended for, do we know of any bids that have officially gone in for players since the transfer window has reopened, not rumors or speculation, real concrete bids from the club, I’m not interested in rumors because most of it is wishful thinking and bollocks and can lead to continuous frustration due to the lack of activity, only facts from the club that they put bids in.

I’m taking it from the lack of response that know one really knows for sure and that the club as yet haven’t bid for anyone , even Pratley!!!

Only the club knows if we have bid for anyone, as information is never released until a signing is complete. Last summer Blackstock was one of the first signings we made but i'm pretty sure it wasnt made official until July time. You just never know with Forest! Comes with the territory!

If you just mean concrete announcements from the club you need the official site. Forest don't announce bids though, only signings.

Ye I take your point I suppose it doesn’t come over that well, what I’m trying to say is apart from rumors because that’s all they are no concrete evidence attached to them do we actually know of any bids going in for players and that the club have actually stated this, in simple terms, has a spokes person from the club actually said every thing to that effect or is it as I expect just speculation and rumors at this moment in time!!!!

Although I have yet to confirm that he had official confirmation to say that, he might just have saying that in his leisure time rather than in an official capacity.

Is this official confirmation, as in officially confirmed by an official? Or is this unofficial confirmation of what has been unofficially confirmed by an official (or otherwise)? Or is it official confirmation of conjecture which may have been confirmed, officially or otherwise?

This threads going to be pretty useless (no offence). We'll only get official confirmation when we actually sign players, as thats how forest roll- they are very secretive and dont confirm anything until its done or we've failed to sign them.

Anything else will just be speculation. So this thread should pretty much be renamed "the official new signings thread, for when we actually sign anyone"
