I think that tonight the best Nottingham Forest manager since Frank Clark has said his goodbyes. Next season we'll finsh lower mid-table (with Norwich and Leeds in the play-offs) and the following season in the relegation zone.

Thanks one and all (TAP) for allowing Perch to be the almighty full-back who has cost us the managerial prowess of Davies and the estimated £90 million return on promotion to the Premirership. James Spastic Perch is the man who has ultimately sent us back to League One. Yes. Yes. Yes.

We laughed at Derby this season - O God... Just wait until this time next year.

I reckon he'll stay tbh.

So the confidence didnt go when Camp gifted them thier first goal?

Perch seems to be an easy blame for everyone, he was out of position, yes he didnt have a good game but to put all the blame on him is a joke.

It's what we do best though.

i thought the idiots booing Perch as he left the field were a disgrace..he was being asked to do a job that is not natural to him..he knew he had had a bad game and his face showed he was as gutted as the rest of us at the result.

Onwards and Upwards.

Let's be honest. They controlled most of the game with better posession, quicker to the 50/50's and brave enough to play 3 up front.Tactically we played too deep and never broke quick enough.Tyson never played to his strengths which should have been recognised much earlier by Davies and one day Camp might just throw the ball out quickly instead of letting the opposition fall back.Raddy and Mckenna were out muscled in midfield. We don't want to go up and get hammered regularly and we have a season we couldn't have dreamt of last year.Realistically we finished the season with mid table form imo.

Perch isn't to blame for the team's poor performance over the 2 legs but the fact remains that his gaffs were the difference between the two teams therefore he has to take a huge amount of blame.

As for the earlier comment saying he was out of position, when he is ever in position? He has been in and around the side for nearly six years and has never held down or looked comfortable in a single position. He is nowhere near good enough to play at this level.

For months the defence has been easily split. It has been woefull finishing and sometimes Camp that have papered over this.

We should have sold him to Newcastle when we had chance!

The future of Billy Davies needs to be sorted ASAP so either way we can plan for next season with or without him.

The worst thing that can happen is a load of speculation all through the summer.

May sound a little harsh but commit or go now Billy or next season could be ruined before it's even begun.

I don't think we'd be able to send him there for free now!
True im afraid!

.........is one way to look at it!

Another way to look at it would be to question why, when the writing was on the wall in the first half, i.e. Blackpool totally dominating midfield, and passing the ball right through us, Billy chose to make no adjustment to formation or personnel whatsoever.

I also think Billy has to be accountable for his decision to put Perch at LB in the first place. A lot of fans (justifiably in my opinion) think Perch struggles at RB, so why Billy thinks he might have a chance at LB is beyond me. We'd have been better with Chambers there, or dropping Cohen back to LB, wouldn't we?

I actually think that Perch was at some way at fault for every single one of Blackpool's goals over the 2 legs

:nowink: I thought Camp looked funny when he kicked his clearance to their player as our defence were moving out. It was in fact Perch who had swapped shirts and kicked it out!
