Nuno Espírito Santo

Agreed.
A bit like Forest announcing Nuno had signed a new 3 year contract about this time last year.
Aye - if he hasn't waived his walk away clause - it means very little.

And even if he has, at Forest showed he knew how to make his position untenable while preserving some credibility.

Although , should he repeat that behaviour at West Ham , can't see another club wanting to take him on .

Id say it is, for them they need someone to take the reigns that is capable of being a manager, transfers included. Nuno got a proven record, I see em back in the prem and staying up once they're here
Nuno is a good manager, that is clear

However he is associated with Sullivan who they will be protesting over all next season and Nuno is already not very popular at West Ham at all. You still need a good environment to be a good manager, not convinced he will get it at West Ham

But equally, it would be difficult not to get West Ham promoted with their squad & resources.

Could go very toxic there if they asset strip. Be interesting to watch that unfold….

Sullivan won't be pumping a penny in that is for sure. He is the only PL owner that actually charges interest on his loans to the club.
They are £2m a year better off anyway.
Apparently the rent they pay for the athletics stadium halves if they are not in the EPL.
The London taxpayer has to pick that bill up :)

Actually they all do now. They changed the rules a couple of seasons back, which is why EM pumped in a load of money just before the deadline for the change. They either have to increase equity or lend at market rates. It wouldn't count towards their SCR anyway.

West Ham are up shit creek financially, they still owe a serious amount of money to clubs for unpaid transfers (circa £200m apparently) and obviously will see their revenue drop by about £100m as well.

Even if they'd stayed up all the experts I've seen talking about them have said they'd have had to sell most of their better players.

Checked the fans board and it is very clear that a lot of them wanted someone else. They are not impressed by his tatics of playing for a draw, dodgy subs and no plan B.
He better have a good start or things are going to get very toxic - would be amazed if he finished next season at West Ham

Sullivan a proper wrong un, imagine if his convicted, west ham fans are going to be ripped to shreds with a convicted nonce at the helm.

Suspect maybe that West Ham probably can't afford to sack him and have no options lined up (if they didn't have relegation clause more fool them) and he's not got any offers coming in, after all he's taken quite a hit to his reputation. If he did he'd be off like a shot and make sure the new employers cover his costs of being sacked.

Exactly. The tiresome partisan dislike for Nuno here clouds the fact that he is a good manager and will spring them back next season.
West Ham were rubbish until more than half way through the season, but the players started listening, and hit the woodwork three times against Brentford, which would have likely buried Spurs.
If we didn't have Pereira and his good time attitude I would welcome Nuno back at the WFCG.

It doesn't cloud anything for me, I've always said he's a good manager, and he is

But he showed himself yet again to be a mercenary who through his own selfish actions sent our season spiralling into chaos

So he can get f**ked quite honestly
