Nuno Espírito Santo

What Mendes players did Nuno bring in for us ? Can't remember.
The only Mendes player etched into my mind is João Carvalho where we got totally ripped off. At the time our most expensive signing for 13mil and has hardly set the world on fire since leaving us. Still bitter about how much we wasted on him.
You have the ones mentioned previous that are directly from his agency, but he works with other agencies to do deals, so they will have different agents but Mendes does the deals. He pretty much has his finger prints over all of Portugese football.

Jota Silva & David Carmo are two others off the top of my head.

Kia Joorabchian is the same but Brazilian football, they operate as brokers from club to club as much as individual agents for players.

Lucky you.

Reyna was the fanny's fanny. Made Hutchinson and Barry McKay look like heavyweight boxers.
Plenty on here who know far more about football than I pushed him. Never wanted him here, a feather of a player. Others obviously got him confused with his father..............

Not to start a war over nothing, or anything like that....but I'm in the camp that Nuno 'was f**ked over'. Of course in other other profession one would walk, but that's the nature of the gig, hanging on for the lucrative sack.

I have a lot of time for the man. None for that ex Arsenal double agent.
I am on the other side.
I think as the season has gone on - virtually all of our permanent signings from last Summer have started to prove their worth.
Edu hasn't done much wrong from my viewpoint

Nuno was a big part in Kalimuendo and Hutchinson not settling in originally.

MGW mentions in his TalkSport interview today the importance of a good pre-season - he's looking forward to next years - mentioning that last years was impacted by managerial changes.
As Nuno was very much in charge during last years, Nuno's mood , despite his new contract must have impacted the team , even at that point.
Pre-season results were really bad. Reading back- it looks like something WAS amiss with Nuno.

Knowing now that Nuno often didn't even speak to his West Ham players, what's to say he wasn't doing that all pre season here? It would go some way to explaining the performances.

Nuno Espirito Santo will stay on as West Ham manager to lead their fight to get back to the Premier League at the first attempt.

The Portuguese met with the club's senior management on Monday in the wake of their relegation from the top flight.

Although both parties could have severed ties without compensation, they decided to stick together in the hope Nuno will repeat his promotion campaign with Wolves in 2018.

"We are pleased to confirm he has expressed his continued commitment to the club – as we have to him," wrote the club in an open letter to supporters.

That is not the way I heard it.
West Ham have said they are not going to sack him.
Nuno has not said anything publicly, there is nothing to say he won't walk.
Relevant words from Wham's statement are:

" (Club) held meetings with Head Coach Nuno Espírito Santo early this week and are pleased to confirm that he has expressed his continued commitment to the Club – as we have to him.

Nuno made it very clear that he is highly motivated for the challenge of guiding West Ham United back to the top flight at the first time of asking. That must be the unquestionable goal for next season."

Key question is - has the walk away without compensation clause been withdrawn?

And if reports are to be believed that his salary has halved from £4.5m to £2.25m - will anyone offer him more than that?

Expect his bonus to get promotion will be hefty - although unlikely to be the £8m he recently missed out on
