He'll be back in the Middle East before sunset.

I wonder if he ever looks back and wonders why the f*** he decided to open his mouth?

So much has happened this season, it already feels a lifetime ago he was our manager - yet, believe or not, he was here for the opening three games.

I'm in the camp of Nuno f**ked us over. Even if things weren't peachy behind the scenes, he'd just signed a bumper three year contract and EM had opened his wallett to bolster the squad. Sure, they might not have been the best signings in the world as it turned out, but I'd argue they were pretty much all better than Adama Traore given how little he achieved at West Ham.

In any case, he can't claim to have been hung out to dry and he was being paid handsomely to do a job - at which point he suddenly decides to start running his mouth in the media and deliberately made his own position completely untenable - shafting our season as soon as it had begun.

So f*** him. He made his bed, time to lay in it. Fortunately we managed to survive, in spite of his antics - and he can have no complaints now his reputation is in the toilet

Talksport saying he's not even getting a payout. What was the point of all of this?

He'd rebuilt his reputation and was near the top of the footballing world. 9 months later he's demonstrated a knack for throwing his toys out of the pram, gotten relegated, and been sacked...twice.

I can't recall another such striking example of hubris smashing a manager so powerfully in the face.

All this nonsense for no benefit to anyone at all.

The Sun - yes i know - saying he stood to pocket £8m if Wham stayed up - instead a jeopardy clause means he'll walk away with nothing.

Oh dear.

This explains why he took the job. Came quite close to pulling it off. In another world VAR definitely gets them another 4 points.

Our win at London Stadium was won thru sheer grit and fortune. I think if we’d have lost Dyche would have gone sooner.

And as reported in the Athletic yesterday about the signing of Jorge Mendes client Pablo, who cost over £20mil quid after costing GIl Vicente (the club he was bought from) only £750k a year ago, that Nuno ignored warnings by the medical scouting and Director of Football reports that the player had a hamstring injury and not to proceed - Nuno pushed through with it and got his way.

Pablo has played 17 games, 0 goals and 0 assists.

Yeah I remember people lauding Wham because they brought in those 2 strikers quickly in the Jan window, well turns out they’re both completely dogshit.

Not to start a war over nothing, or anything like that....but I'm in the camp that Nuno 'was f**ked over'. Of course in other other profession one would walk, but that's the nature of the gig, hanging on for the lucrative sack.

I have a lot of time for the man. None for that ex Arsenal double agent.
The truth is probably somewhere in the middle.

Whatever happened, it's a shame they couldn't sit around a table like adults and thrash out the issues. We would all have had better seasons for it.

I think I watched a game where he managed to hit both posts and the crossbar. Absolutely rubbish player.

I think it was Paul Robinson on 5 live who intimated that Nuno and Mendez were in control of West Ham's January window. Traore was another signing that had absolutely no impact whatsoever. Basically, Nuno would rather have had Traore over Hutch. I know Omari has been a bit inconsistent and was overpriced, but I know which player I would rather have.

Nuno just likes to be top dog

And when he aint he has a mardy and downs tools

Anyway he's toast
Nuno comes with Jorge Mendes, it's a package deal when you hire him.

By bringing him in you're essentially committing to buying at least a few of Mendes' clients. Unfortunately it seems their relationship is so intertwined it starts to look like when Nuno is taking roles it's less about being a football manager and more about being a gateway to making money for him and Mendes.

Pretty sure Nuno got him involved in football, Nuno was his first client. He will always prioritise his players over others & agree both will just follow the money. You can see that in Nuno’s career.

I don’t think Mendes is the boogey man people paint him as but you definitely get both as a pair, that’s proven over his career.

What Mendes players did Nuno bring in for us ? Can't remember.
The only Mendes player etched into my mind is João Carvalho where we got totally ripped off. At the time our most expensive signing for 13mil and has hardly set the world on fire since leaving us. Still bitter about how much we wasted on him.

Not many I don't think, the summer we brought in Anderson and Milenkovic was the main window we brought in players, although Nuno was in charge of the two January ones, such as the one we brought in Sels and Reyna and that Ribeiro kid, of course we had Jota Silva and Ramon Sosa as well that summer, not many of them are likely to be Mendes players.

Last summer I think most of the signings were probably Edu's influence or just EM playing shufflies with Textor which didn't involve Nuno.

I think the 3 Portuguese (Carvalho, Dias and Goncalves) were Mendes players and in summer of 16 when EM almost bought the club then and we had Pereira as DoF and Montanier we brought in a few as well, but mostly they were shit and not the quality Wolves were getting at the same time.
