Nuno Espírito Santo

So I just watched his press conference after losing against Chelsea and I can't help but notice that Nuno looks like he's aged at least five years since leaving us... He's also void of any personality or charm, flashback to when he did that video with Warriors United
He hasn’t seen a clean sheet since he got there and just seen his team lose after leading 0-2 at a local rival. He’s every right to look rough!

If it's any consolation both him and Traore aren't going down well over on the West Ham boards.
Hopefully they will be going down with their club

Been revealed he has a clause in his contract that he can be sacked without receiving any compensation if West Ham are relegated under him.

Just another thing which really makes me doubt the prevailing narrative that he engineered all this for money.

Not really, the clause is a bit of a red herring.

Sullivan won't want West Ham to go down so he'll most likely sack Nuno soon if results don't improve and they are still within touching distance.

Nuno and Mendez definitely know this so were happy to add that in to his contract.

Whether it was for the money or not is kind of irrelevant, he still engineered it, so is still a ***t.

Like Leicester getting relegated after sacking Cooper, it will be a happy ending if (when?) Nuno takes West Ham down. Poetic, even.

Can't imagine he did it for money, but he definitely did it for ego. He couldn't stand Edu being closer to the owner than him.

I have worked with a lot of people in the past who were or wouldn't have been happy with the addition of line management between them and the top person. Some left, but I'm sure that they would have moved for being made redundant had the option been available. Some didn't and it would be a long time before they let their grudge go if they ever realy did.. Getting the sack without a physical altercation was pretty much unheard of in my old company.

Such a sad state of affairs.
I think back to how much he used to smile and laugh when he was in charge here.
Now he looks like he hasn't smiled in months, and looks so miserable and uninterested.
It is a shame. Used to love him when he was our manager here - genuinely felt like he could build something special over a number of seasons.

It's just so sad how it all panned out - I find it hard to forgive the way he chose to self immolate at the worst possible time for us.

This is true, but sometimes if a complete idiot is inserted into the hierarchy above you, you can have all sorts of fun with the gullible fools, like sending them for a bucket of steam.

Nuno engineered his exit to get the huge payoff from the contract he'd signed with Forest only a few months earlier

That has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with the contract West Ham subsequently decided to give him
Manager contracts will almost always have a clause in the severance compensation that means it runs until the manager finds another job, and they are expected to at least look like they're trying to find employment. So highly likely he took the Wham job knowing that his payout from Forest would be significantly impacted; I suspect his salary at Wham would have needed to factor that in.

I watched his press conference on Thursday, upbeat, confident, sharp.

"We will be fine" when asked if he was truly confident of keeping West Ham up, with a big smile.

The worst thing is i believe him. I have more belief in him carrying out his job than our ..gaffer.

It'll be the most poetic story for all of the double barrelled named journalists to fawn over if the worst does happen "the pitch moment, oh how it brought the wrong'un down"

Its like watching a trainwreck in slow motion.

With some justification unfortunately. We had a coach who suited us really well, but he was disrespected on the pitch and then there was the inexplicable flirting with Ange. I don’t think anyone believes we’d be in our current position if we’d kept him. We saw the other week that the players still love him.
