Nuno Espírito Santo

That would leave a week for him to get sacked and employed by Sunderland to extend the record 😂

We would have far more points if we’d kept him.
He made sure it was impossible to keep him. If he'd just kept his mouth shut, he could have had a fairly plodding mid-table finish with Forest and had a proper go at the Europa League. Instead he threw his toys out the pram, ruined our season (we may still go down, and I have no confidence we will go far in a competition we should be one of the favourites to win). He also jumped out of the frying pan and into the fire by taking the West Ham job who are in even worse condition than us. He may keep them up, but it would be true justice if he gets them relegated after all, particularly if we're the team he can't catch. Nuno isn't solely to blame for our season, I'm not letting the recruitment off here by the way, but between Edu and his recruitment and Nuno (and EM for hiring the Aussie ****), has put us in a position where we've had to turn to Sean Dyche to save our season Premier League status, and I still think he will, but in the most joyless way possible.

We don't talk anymore, is hardly a sacking offence FFS. If anything it showed the owner in good light, eg the manager wanted to have more dialogue with EM, not he was interfering too much.

It's all over now baby blue, but I'm firmly in the "Man had principles" camp.
If he'd had principles he would have resigned. He signed a new deal in the summer already knowing Edu was coming in. He threw his toys out the pram, and did it in public in a calculated way to provoke the owner so he'd get the sack and a pay off. He was given £200m of players and the owner fought tooth and nail to successfully keep his star player.

Was he probably right that we signed too many players too late? Probably, but again in the club's defence we didn’t know what European competition we would be in. Was he right about the quality of player we were signing? Again, probably but I'm still not convinced that Adama Traore would have solved all our woes. Was he right to be annoyed about the rumours about us caughting that Aussie prick? A bit hypocritical when he was clearly in talks before Steve Cooper was sacked. And on that note, there were rumours of West Ham wanting him while he was still Forest manager. Should the club have done a better job at working with him and reassuring him? Almost certainly.

So for me, he should have just got on with it, at least for 10 games, then when he moaned there might have been a little more substance to it. He also has previous of falling out with boards and clubs across his career.

By the way, I don't think the club (EM and Edu) are blameless. If we go down they deservedly will get the ire from us. As should Postecoglou, the players and Dyche. But Nuno gets it too. To be honest, I'm just furious we're in this position after such an amazing season last year - and the fact that our board and Nuno acted like petty children as the catalyst to cause all this just winds me up even more.

Given that he fell out with the board over transfers in the summer, I think he's been thoroughly vindicated.

Failing to keep Nuno happy has been the biggest failure of Marinakis' reign.

I think he was quite unreasonable tbh mate. 95% of the teams hardly made any transfers before the CWC which was a massive hindrance this year and Forest on top of that had the uncertainty between EL & CL.

I dont like the way nuno left but I dont hate him by a long shot, wish he does keep west ham up but not at our expense, was as season that will always remember like the frank Clark one, was the season I really started following forest. All I can say the recruits he bought in at West sham do seem to have hit the ground running,

Pretty sure today was his birthday, as I remember the comments after last year's 5-0 to Bournemouth about the great birthday present he got from the team. Well, Forest gave him another nice present this year. :ROFLMAO:

So I just watched his press conference after losing against Chelsea and I can't help but notice that Nuno looks like he's aged at least five years since leaving us... He's also void of any personality or charm, flashback to when he did that video with Warriors United
