Billy has been nominated for manager of the month, again! Also nominated are Chris Hughton, Dave Jones and Sean O'Driscoll.

And Lee Camp has been chosen as one of the four player of the month contenders, along with Billy Sharp, Darren Pratley and Chris Burke.

I think both of them will win their awards, and rightly so! 4 wins, 2 draws, 11 scored, 1 conceded. Fantastic month!

I think both of them should get it this month

But then again I said that all the rest of the months :D

It is a travesty if Billy does not get manager of the month.

Camp should be in with a good shout as well, only one goal conceded (a penalty) and five clean sheets.

Isn't there a bit of a jinx on managers that win it, then results go pearshaped for a few games afterwards? (may just be premier league). If so, happy for Billy's bad run for manager of the month to continue until April!

Billy simply has to get the prize for last month, it wasn't as though we had an easy run of games either.

I'd be surprised if Camp picks up the player award though. Not because he doesn't deserve it but because attacking players always seem to have the edge when it comes down to individual recognition.

That said though five consecutive clean sheets is pretty damn impressive so he's done pretty much all he can to stake his claim.

Camps performances last month I think were nothing short of amazing. Sheff Utd stands out, he alone won the point as we would have been smashed on another day. Birmingham too wasn't bad . . .

I get the feeling Billy Boy isn't fussed about the manager awards though

It wasn't even a penalty either, just a sympathy vote for the 'dippers.

Camp has been superb this month.

Chelsea fans seem not to agree! Ancelotti won it in November and guess what they had a shocker against Man City in next game and lost.

Football teams lose games... but of course fans remember the losses that happen immediately following a MOM award more than the others.
Have Chelsea lost any other games this season, or was it just that once?

Statistically the MOM makes no difference to a teams results.

Billy will definitely win MOTM.

Was only joking....of course there is no statistical difference.
Actually found some analysis within an article from a few years ago which proves the myth is rubbish. To win MOM apperently you needed to average 2.5 points per game, which is going some. Theres only one way down after that and as you point out, this downturn is the bit fans remember.
