No news is good news

According to my source, this is 3rd hand admittedly although he's been on the button 80% of the times before, we have made 4 signings so far, including 3 yesterday, with 2 more expected imminently. He didn't tell me who they were nor did he allow me to guess their identities. He suggests the value of the signings mean ND is splashing the cash. He also says the longer there is no news the better as we're trying to get a the deals packaged up on the QT so that ongoing negotiations can be concluded without too much bartering -some of the options we have currently will not be taken-up, but the club need to keep a few lines open for obvious reasons. He doesn't know when there will be an announcement but it should be soon.

I'm salivating at the prospect as I know the guy and his bona fides, but I expect you all to be more sceptical. Only time will tell however, but I bring you this little tidbit of tittle-tattle as I know that you, like me, were gagging for it..

For us, keeping it quiet means that deals can be done easily, and also if we can announce a number of signings at once then it would really get the fans on board and keep the positive atmosphere going around the club.

A player has no real motives to say anything or not. If we have told them to keep it quiet for a week or so, there's no reason for them not to really!

Let's hope this is true and that we get the announcements soon!

I have no idea.

My guy (2nd hand) was told by someone in the club (1st hand). I'm (3rd hand) just relaying what I was told. Sometimes its best not to ask for more than you are given lest you are never given anything again.

I'd love to see it, but as you say, after so many bloopers I'm reserved. I would rather Forest conducted their affairs in privacy than splash it everywhere (swans look like twats after Ando's dad's comments) but lets see ! 5 Signings at once would be quite a boost though !

Wouldn't surprise me if we unveil the new sponsor / shirt soon aswell to keep up the suspense.

the deals done include McGoldrick, Osbourne, Blackstock & Adebola. A goalkeeper has also signed but its not Camp, he wasn't certain who but thinks its Westwood. There are two outstanding deal but thought to be close to completion, these are Jones ansd Mckenna.

Well, that's two sources - one from each club - that have said the Blackstock deal is as good as done.

If your source is correct, I'll be absolutely delighted with all of those.

McKenna, in my opinion, would still be a good signing and Osbourne has shown what he can do.

I don't think we can have enough quality midfielders to be honest.

Then, to have Blackstock, Earnshaw, Garner, Tyson, McGoldrick and Adebola is cracking!
