Nigel Doughty??

Me and a few mates decided to drive to the Bristol game on Saturday as we where all hung over (Had bus tickets but opted against it as we all felt so rough!) Anyways we got caught in the M42 traffic and a person in an Aston Martin DB9 with the number plate  --D9 UGH-- was next to us, he wound down his window and shouted 'U Reds', just wondered if it was Nigel Doughty by any chance?

lol!! Firstly, Do you think Doughty would be at the game?
and secondly, can you imagine Doughty shouting "You Reds" outside his window? Not really lol

Well...the question "did he actually look like Doughty?" is perhaps the first one you should ask yourself. If the bloke looked like Verne Troyer then I'm guessing it probably wasn't him, regardless of the perceived correlation between the surname 'Doughty' and the number plate.

To be fair i would have thought that he attends away games  :)  And it was surreal that a bloke in a flash car, suited and booted would shout 'U reds', was quite funny actually! :)

Oh, maybe not then! I only say it as I've seen the DB9 in question on Pall Mall, which is where Doughty-Hanson is situated, and always assumed it was his.

With hindsight, it's hard to believe that Nigel would drive himself anywhere...
lol bet someones robbed his car!

Its my 3rd car, the number plate is a reference to my considerable wealth/money or dough as we northerners say, I no longer drive it, I refuse to as someone once confused it with a Jaguar, which quite frankly is simply not on, I let my mates play around in it.

I've seen Doughty driving to an away game before. He was stuck alongside us in a traffic jam, doing his best to stare straight ahead and avoid all attention.

As I recall, he drives a grey 4x4.

Sure it was not Nigel Doubty , given whether we are not being taken over by Shiek Yermunie ?

What!?

Actually, it doesn't matter, the point is, it wasn't Doughty as he is in Singapore writing up a list of justifications for a season-ticket price hike next season.

Doughty is so passionate, Doughty once appeard in two places at once. One was a Tai lap dancing bar, the other was down the M1 to Brizzle, ma nizzle.

Just stumbled across this chat from years ago and I thought I'd solve the puzzle for you. It wasn't Nigel it was me! I live in Gloucestershire and so the Bristol game was a welcomed match for me as the home games take me 3 1/2 hours to drive. Sold this car in 2011.

I thought I'd also add that this is my son's profile, in case any one that can do maths works out he wasn't old enough to drive back then!

What next, the mystery passenger on the EMA to Glasgow who sat next to Billy will sign-on with his 4-year-old niece's account to tell us how many air miles he got?
