i said it ages ago, and a lot of you shouted me down "he dont have the experience" "hes not what we need now"

now maybe the doubters will agree. This is twice in a few weeks derby have humiliated us. The so called "novice "nigel has come back to haunt us, he has them playing better football in a matter of weeks, than we have played in 3 years. Maybe, like his dad he will have to do great things at derby before he comes to us. This is a joke.

Oh another 'I told you so thread'. If it was ages ago, why with only 9 posts have you decided to come back and playing the I got it right card ??? This is the last thing anyone wanted to hear today so bloody well grow up !

im not playing any card mate, and the amount of posts is not the issue. Im just sick and tired of the shit we have to put up with. And I was right, so what?? im not allowed to be upset? and vent my anger? I just knew it was going to happen and the board should have pulled out the stops to get the guy who was at forest most of his adult life. Anyone with eyes could see the ability he had by watching burton. It makes me sick.

I'd like to see you say Clough is the man for us when Derby are scrabbling to stay up next season.

EDIT Thought I was talking to a ram, mai bad!

Posts don't have anything to do with it, but when you only come back after however long to 'seemingly' gloat about how you were right, don't expect a good reaction !

Of course he's doing well at derby, they have better players than we do! It's not rocket science, and I refuse to believe that Clough coming here would have seen any different result to Davies.

their players are not a miliion miles better than ours. Paul Jewell had the same set of players and what did he do? its not the tools its the workman. I think nigel would have lifted us and got us playing better football.

No, not at all ::) I mentioned it as I have said. Why make a point, leave it for so long then come back to tell everyone how 'right you were and how wrong we are ?'

The other teams relegated from the prem are doing considerably better than Nige's Derby

Looks to me like you are gloating.

Clough would not stand a chance here. What's he going to do to get better out of the players? Be nicer to them? Like Calderwood?

Signings aside, I've not yet seen much of Davies managing a 90% fit full strength squad. I'll reserve judgement unti he's had everyone bar Bennett back for a couple of games. And I'll doff my cap to Clough for getting a halfway decent performances out of a motley band of talents, no-marks and journeymen. He's proving good at cracking that particular nut and I'm sure he'll have a nice team there in a season or two, and probably be going places. Unless he's a better left-back than Billy Davies, I'd doubt he'd be seeing similar results to the ones he has achieved at Derby.

We should have brought in Camp, we should have increased competition for places elsewhere, but aside from this, I'd not wager anyone from myself to Alex Ferguson would be getting wins out of our current squad. Unfit or inexperienced defenders and those out of position concede goals, especially with a meek if talented keeper behind them.

You weren't right at all - beng rivals with a club does not make us comparable to them in realistic terms.

So its nothing to do with the sheep having better players than us then?
Nomatter what anyone says, they do have better players & do not have the injuries that we currently have! NC is no better than BD, its the difference in squads in my opinion.

You're definitely entitles to your opinion here, but that bit what I've put in bold is absolute rubbish. The only way they play is hoofing it up to Hulse, who throws his elbows about a bit and somehow gets himself a free kick.

All Derby are is a bunch of long-ball thugs. We got no protection from the referee at all today, and he made 3 errors that led to their goals. They were more physical, and their dirty tactics worked, like it has done with most of the teams in the Championship this season.

this thread is pointless because even if Nigel was in charge of us, we'd still have gash players and would still be losing

Possibly, but the fans wouldn't turn on Nigel as they are starting to do with Billy. I wonder who they would turn on if we get relegated? I wonder why the board saw fit to snub Nigel...

Because they thought 'Mr Excuse' was the better option, and unfortunately for us, his CV said he was!
