Long Live Dominguez the Redeemer!

Seriously - an excellent game from him by all accounts, when it was all hands on board. Just excellent.

We'd be mad to let him go. He's an ideal squad player and he was very good last night. Some of the criticism about him not tracking runners fails to take into account how poor Anderson was for much of the game -- Dom was left trying to do too much. He coped very well overall. And it's not as if, on that performance, we're overburdened with classier and more effective players.

He had a good game last night. Anderson looked knackered.

What a kerfuffle. I haven’t been so castigated since I suggested Taiwo might be rubbish a few years back 😄

For the record, I’m a Dom fan - I like what he brings and see absolutely no value in shipping him. Just on a night when to my eyes only Neco had a claim to a good game (let’s not forget we were awful), I saw too many instances of stuff I didn’t like from Dom, and not enough (from anyone) that I did. Could indeed be lack of cover from Ando. Could be direction from big ginge to stay up and leave runners for the rest to manage. Could be that my eyes have failed me - although I went to specsavers only last week and my prescription is unchanged. I just don’t know what to think. But I’ll be sure to go away and think about what I’ve done.

I don't think I'll ever understand those who don't like Dom.

For me he's exactly the sort of player you never lose from your squad. He's hardly ever injured, can play in multiple positions to a reasonable standard, always gives his all, is decent enough both in the defensive third and attacking third, extremely consistent..

We paid what, £7m plus Freuler swap for him, so net £10m or so? Most of which has been amortised away now. Absolute bargain considering some of the money we've spent on other players before and after.

He's in my list of Forest players that I would never sell unless the offer is truly, utterly ridiculous. Like £100m ridiculous. Same with Yates and Williams. I think we'd find it significantly easier to replace the likes of Murillo (sorry!).

I'm currently putting salt on my hat ready to tuck in for ever saying he shouldn't be a starter because this is just the kind of game he should. I might need a pint with it though. :panthers:

This lad covers more stuff than the Mike Flowers Pops.

Anyone who can get into the Argentina squad is not a player to be dismissed so lightly.

Rubbish as usual. Headless chicken. Can’t pass.

Yet there is a contingent that seem to love his pressing, relentless work rate, recovery runs, teamwork and commitment.

Mind boggling
I think you are failing to appreciate the solid contribution he is making in a restrained, unspectacular role.
He sees danger before others and closes down channels.
It isn't the most creative role, but it is essential.
