except for any match sanctioned or regarded by The Football Association as a
Friendly Match, including non-First Team matches commencing forthwith and until
such time as his Club’s First Team has completed its next three matches in approved

I think they really should try to get this done. He's a key player now and we dont have another LB, dont want the team being disrupted now.

Yeah his loan runs out on 28th.
The worst thing about today was him getting sent off, but I guess we only had him for one more match anyway.
He was superb again today - def worth £3m even if that means we cant sign anyone else.

He's too good for the Championship but too small, slow and ridiculously one footed to be good enough for a top 6 Premiership team trying to get in the top 4. Would love to keep him though, there's very few top left backs around!

I dont see Ashley Cole, Patrice Evra or even Dani Alves in La Liga having a problem with height.

His loan is 'til the 26th Jan - so unless it is extended or we sign him permanently he won't be here for the Derby game.

Obviously he'll now miss the QPR game through suspension regardless.

As it stands he will miss the sheep game due to his loan agreement coming to an end. However, it is looking likely that his loan will be extended for a further 90 days that will see him play against the sheep but not in the play-offs should we need them! The two clubs are a little apart on the valuation with Forest thinking they can get everyone cheap these days. The January window inflates prices but Villa are not being unrealistic with a £3m tag - We need to pay up and pay up quick before someone else takes him!! :clap:

The weakpoint in Shorey's game for me (and don't take this as moaning, I really like him and hope we sign him) is that he doesn't quite have the pace to get away with getting caught up field like Gunter does.

Today he should've been somewhere to prevent the header coming in unchallenged at the back post twice prior to his dismissal - fortunately both times Camp made cracking saves. The penalty was as a result of him being caught the wrong side of his man and not having the pace to get back.

However, these are things that can be worked on - aside from that he's been quality and I'd be delighted if we can extend his loan or sign him permanently.

Was never a sending off! We should definately appeal it! The ref was diabolicle today! Hope we can secure shorey for the rest of the year as his composure on the ball and his defensive abilities are second to none!
