Well, at least Deshaun Watson to the Browns frees-up Baker Mayfield now, who seems poised to join the US Army.

I mean, if you needed someone to overthrow Vladimir Putin, who better?

Hard Knocks will feature the Lions this year should be an interesting watch Dan Campbell is never boring.

Better than watching the Raiders on Hard Knocks and the 'nut job' that is/was Antonio Brown.

Been a fan of the Raiders since the early 80's listening to games late Sunday night on American Forces Radio with a very poor reception. Then catching up on Channel 4 complete with the Bonnie Tyler intro. Those were the days.

Not questioning that he is the GOAT but from a Raiders fan, three words: 'Tuck Rule' game. Raider Nation never forgets.

Travon Walker to the Jags seems to be becoming very talked up in the media as a real possibility a very bold pick in my view at 1!!!

But hopefully that happens and the Lions can take Hutchinson at 2!!!

I read that also; then it becomes Hutch or Thibs at 2.

I’d take either, but I do like what I’ve seen from the Michigan man.

Super exciting draft as there in no consensus about any of these guys. If you are looking at betting odds, Walker is the favourite for the number one pick. If that is the case, the Lions have to be either taking Hutch or KT. Stingley is now the betting favourite to be the third overall pick. Not a great QB class so fuck knows where they go, but 2 or 3 are bound to go first round? Even in bad years, people still throw the dice on these guys. I think Willis, Pickett and Ridder all go top 32 with Corral and Howell going early second. I think we will see a run on receivers early with Wilson, London, Olave and Williams all going by the 15th pick.

Can never predict who you are picking when it is at 23, but I think it will be one of a WR (should one fall I think they trade up, they love Williams but he isn't falling), EDGE (Johnson or Karlaftis) or OL (Zion Johnson). Either way, I have booked Friday off work to absorb it all!

With the Lions picking at 2, 32 and 34, I am hoping for some combination of Edge, WR, LB or Safety, as they are four areas of need for the team.

Detroit‘s pass-rush wasn’t good last season, so getting a proper quality Edge seems a necessity and fortunately there are some good ones within reach.

Also, don’t be surprised if Brad Holmes pulls a trade-rabbit out of his hat either.

I decided to cancel my GamePass this year, but you have to wait for a certain period of time to do it. How crazy is that?

No pick for the Raiders until the 3rd round this year which is probably a good thing based on their 2020 record:

Round 1 - Henry Ruggs III - released after fatal DUI
Round 1 - Damon Arnette - released after brandishing firearms and making death threats in a video
Round 3 - Lynn Bowden Jr - traded to Miami Dolphins having never played a snap for the Raiders

If the Lions walk away with Hutch, Dean/Lloyd and Cine they will have had an outstanding draft. Would expect one offensive players out those three though.

I can see the Holmes trading out of pick 32 if the right offer comes in as teams looking for a QB will want the 5th year option. Hopefully we can pick up some draft capital. We don’t have a 4th round pick at present.

I would take Hutch at 2 then if we want to go Safety Cine then LB Lloyd both look good to me and both likely there at 32 and 34.

I trust Holmes to find a wide receiver like he did with St Brown last year in the 4th.

Be interesting to see where David Ojabo lands in this draft horrible injury but was talked about as a top 10 pick prior to his injury.

Well I got the saints to draft Olave and penning at 18/1 so a good draft night for me. No clue how good Penning will be but Olave seems a very safe pick.

Very happy with that.

An elite Edge, and a Brad Holmes-trade up (didn’t I say he might pull that out the hat?) to grab a proper deep threat receiver.

Nice.

I’ve been watching some Jameson Williams highlights.

Christ, he’s fast. ACL injury apart (he’s says already run 4.4 in rehab!) he’s a rocket.

And the Lions now have pick 46 today too, so maybe there will be a Safety or Linebacker there.

In Hutch we got many peoples number 1 pick at 2 really excited to see what he can do.

Williams who had it not been for injury would maybe have been the top wide receiver in the draft. Even if he cannot contribute till October given we are in rebuild mode a great pick for me.

Credit to Brad Holmes for that trade moved up 20 spots and we did not have to give up as much as we should have. We won that trade with the Vikings in my view.

And mine.

That O-Line, plus Chark, Hock, Swift, Amon-Ra and Williams.

Hoo. That’s going to be fun.
