NFFC Membership 2010 / 2011

I had a look on the website and on NFFC Retail - but couldn't find any information on NFFC Membership for this upcoming season.

I actually thought it was a good scheme last season!

It cost £20, but you got that back in discounted tickets. I got to sit in the same seat pretty much every game I went to, and the priority on away games meant I only missed Leicester and Derby.

I hope they do it again.... anyone know if / when it is on sale?

The away membership is by phone to the ticket office only, there was no link on retail.

i guess the other one is the same...hope this helps.

I didn't get it at the start of last year as I felt it had no great benefits and was just a way for the club to fleece money off people.

I was right.

A football club wringing every last penny out of their fans? How dare they! :spankarse:

?

You got priority on home and away matches. You got to buy your tickets before they went on General Sale.... That's a benefit right there.

And how is it fleecing money off people? It didn't cost me anything.

I paid £20 and I got £20 of discounts on my tickets.

There's not been a match yet, that I haven't managed to get on General Sale apart from Derby and Leicester away.

If you wanted to go with someone who wasn't a Member / Season ticket holder, you have to wait till general sale anyway.

Also the 'discounts' only apply to certain matches so are of no benefit if you can't make those games - which they don't advertise in advance when you'd purchase the thing. Therefore you can't tell if you'll make back the £20.

So, in short, its a fleece, preying on the fears of people that they won't manage to get tickets for matches.

Tickets made it to general sale for every home match last season - even the Playoff against Blackpool. The onyl away games that didnt make general sale were Derby, Leicester City and Blackpool in the Playoffs. There seems little need for it - but like the horrible away membership scheme, if people buy into it the club will profit.

I have a question;

If you had the membership last season how many tickets were you able to buy before they went on General sale? Just one per member or were you able to buy a couple more?

Im sure we'll see a similar situation to last season where it proved to be an utter waste of money but I can't help but feel slightly worried about missing out on the Derby game at Christmas!

Last season the away membership reference number was your ST client ref. which only allowed you to get 1 ticket per client ref, the season before you had different ref numbers for both ST and away membership, this allowed you to get 1 ticket on your ST and another on your away membership...i think they caught onto this at Forest, thats why its the same number for both now.

Just one ticket per Membership Owner.

Swayed towards investing again in this, give me priority periods and some small discounts here and there...might do the job while being unable to buy a season ticket

If we get a high profile cup draw, and tickets don't make it to General Sale - you can bet this forum will be full of the usual cry-babies moaning "I've been going to Forest for 85 years but lost out to somebody who made a one-off payment of £20 for the NFFC Membership"

Basically, if you're a regular match goer, this scheme does not cost anything but gives you priority over General Sale.

And people are still saying it's a rip off (because they have to moan about something)

If you regularly go with friends/family
and / or
you like sitting in the same place

then it's pretty good.

Particularly good if you have kids (junior reds) and want to sit in the family stand (cheapest part of the ground).

On the down side, last year two of the discounts were for the Watford and Blackpoo games.

You just don't like getting up at 9am for General Sale do you?

If they made it £5 off for the first 4 tickets you buy, it might be worth it.

As it is, it's of little worth.

To be fair on Forest for a change the discounts i got on tickets was more than the £20 membership fee. The scheme isn't for everyone but was good for me.
