Looks like Paul Anderson in the dark there modelling it.

Looks like we're keeping the writing round the badge too, doesn't look much different though from what you muster from that.

At least we appear to have kept the excellent badge design from last season.

To be honest I dont like shirts without sponsors.

A classy sponsor like we have now defines our team shirt.

Let me explain.

In the CO-OP on saturday it was raining, so I had a thick hoodie on, almost zipped up to the top, so you could just make out the Capital One writing on my shirt.

A bloke said to me "Forest Fan?" i said yes and we had a conversation about Doughty, new signings and who will fill Breckin's role.

If i was wearing a plain forest top, he wouldnt have noticed and no conversation would have occured, and i would have to have watched old women fumbling in their bags for non-existent dividend cards.

The late deal to confirm Victor Chandler as the club's shirt sponsor saw shirt sales delayed until the first day of the season - an unprecedented stall that entirely excludes the lucrative summer holiday market.

Today it has been revealed that the shirt will be sold WITHOUT the Victor Chandler logo, and supporters wishing to have it added to the shirt will have to ask the club shop to do it.

The cheaper shirts sold in various outlets across the country will also be sold without the Victor Chandler logo. And the club will NOT stamp the VC logo on to them.

So the shirt sales were delayed by several months for the sake of a few optional transfers being delivered to the club shop.

They've already missed out on several thousand sales, and my guess is that they'll probably miss out on sponsorship renewal. How could any company be satisfied with the arrangement in place?

It's a shame Billy Davies didn't take over as Commercial Manager as well.

I'm also not keen on having the European successes permanently tattooed across the emblem. The two stars look great, but the circle of writing is surely for special occasions?

And am I right to be concerned about the hideous black circle that seems to be lingering around the badge?

I think VC will understand that the shirts had probably been made up in advance and it would make a further delay to go through them all adding their logo.

Personally I like the option to have it with and without the logo, I'll still wait to see what it looks like on the 29th though.

Well I know that. Zoom in though, it actually looks like the badge is in a black circle ala the dubious shirts of the 90s.

A circle drawn by a 5 year old. It could catch on, though ...

I am quite pissed off with the fact that if you buy the shirt elsewhere, you won't be able to get the sponsor on it! I always buy my shirt from Soccer World as it's always about £10 cheaper and I don't see much point in paying more when I don't have to!

Now I will have to buy it from the club shop due to this stupid idea! Shorts without a sponsor look shit, they only don't if the teams sponsor looks awful i.e. Leicester City.

Do ST holders still get discoutn for the club shop?

No wonder my post count..
See, this is the crap that comes with being sponsored by a gambling company.

Personally, I think Forest have f**ked up here. I hate to sound lazy, but this is a lot of effort for buying a shirt.

I've seen Bolton shirts in Sports Soccer with the 118bet sponsor printed on, why can't we do the same?

Except nowadays the crest and manufacturer logos are higher up the shirt and sponsorless editions tend to look like they have something missing. Which, I suppose, they do.

Victor Chandler can't be happy with this set-up. The majority of all sales with indeed be sans sponsor - many prefer it, many buy elsewhere, others can't be bothered to queue.

I've often said I'd be prepared to pay a few quid extra for a shirt without the sponsors logo on it, so I'm certainly one of those who is happy about this. :)

Had an attempt at brightening the picture, not sure much is revealed.

As the club are only printing the sponsor on to shirts you purchase from the club shop for free they have missed a trick here.

As they are giving them away why not charge a certain price for them like the shirt printing ect?

Failing that, donate the proceeds from the printing of the sponsor to the Charity of the Year.
