i went to the new shop today to buy the new home shirt and have 'i 8 derby' on the back.
but when i got to the checkout they said kitbag dont let you have that anymore so therefore i asked for my last name (McCormick) with a small 'c' in the air as i have done in the past, but then more bad news as i couldnt have a small 'c'. so i opted for my first name.

so i just wondered if anyone knew why i couldnt have 'i 8 derby' and why i couldnt have a 'c' in the air as i have had before in more than 1 occasion?

Probably because it's a bit chavvy?

Surprised about the lack of the small 'c' though. Maybe they didn't have them in stock or something.

I went to the shop yesterday and had the number 8 with Derby underneath and they did it no questions asked in fact they thought it was funny !

Why anybody would want to put the word Derby on their Forest shirt is beyond me, unless it happens to be their name, which would be just odd!

I went yesterday and had a "Majewski" shirt done, the guy in front of me in the queue had (presulmably) his own name on there, that began with "Mc..." - I noticed this as they cut the "Mc" off of a "McGugan" 'name banner' and then added the additional letters afterwords?

The online shop shows McCleary, McGugan, McKenna and McGoldrick shirts all with regular sized c's.

Couldn't you ask them to use the "C" from the junior letter set?

...or are they using adult-sized letters on kids' shirts?

Alternatively, suggest that they get a letter "O" and [assuming it's taller than it is wide] cut it across the middle, to make two smaller letter "c"s...That might work?

I remember Winnits' brother writing in his column for the now defunct Blooming Forest that one fan had "I 8 Derby" on the back of his shirt and his pal had "Me 2" on the back of his lol The effort they must go to to stand side by side to get the effect is impressive.

I saw that wonderful pair of people & shirts last season. It really is a great combination! :D

In the past they have cut up a "P" to make a small "c".

Didn't they feature in a bluey once?

I noticed that in the Forest club shop booklet that was sent through the post, it states that if you want a name and number on the back of your shirt its £11.95 BUT adults can only have a maximum of 12 letters and child shirts are only allowed 5 letters, so does that mean kids can only have TYSON or COHEN, or CAMP on theirs? as it says cleary "Add your own name or your heroes name", seems stupid if thats the case.
