Perch is gone.

Who do we blame next season for the inevitable play off failure / goal drought / goals conceeded / global famine / middle east conflicts....

As odd as it sounds, it could be Earnie. People have high expectations of him. If McGoldrick starts scoring, he'll be forgiven, but if Earnie stops scoring...

Tyson is already something of a scapegoat, as part of our play-off failure was put down to his poor performance/selection.

OK let's stir it up a bit ........ Davies. Without his moaning and tinkering, we might easily have got 12+ points from those away games. He messed with a winning formula, which was, for those of you who need reminding, one up front. So what did he do against Derby? You've got it - he played two up front, then proceded to mess about with selection at Donny, Leicester, Preston, Blackpool etc. Also, for those of you who hate McGoldrick, our best games early on were when we played him just behind our lone striker. Anyone remember this, or are you too busy moaning at the bloke for his lack of goals? Don't moan at the bloke who has been picked, sometimes look at the bloke who picked him and at the role he's been asked to play. Perchy WILL come good when he's played in a settled team who play him IN position.
BTW - the reason 5 in midfield should work, is because you can impose yourself on the opposition and break quickly (Cohen's goal v WBA anyone?). So why did he change this for Direby?

I would like to be considered for the position.

You really think that will happen - he's gone to a team where Calderwood's strutting his stuff and was possibly a big influence in getting Houghton to sign him.

If my memory serves me correctly, I think Calderwood played him more out of possition than anyone else so we will have to see where they do play him, but I suspect he will spend more time on the bench than he did at the City Ground - unless they have a reserve side.
