New player this week? New player this Summer?

Furthermore...

Davies admits that Forest are having to prepare a Plan A for a future in the Championship and a Plan B for if they are relegated.
"That is the situation, we have to prepare for both eventualities (League One or the Championship) but there is no doubt which one I am preparing for more," he said.
"I see the determination and spirit in that dressing room and it convinces me that we should be preparing for life in the Championship."
Davies accepts that Forest's fight against relegation will be a negative influence as they try to sign players.
"I am sure if you were the player, then you would like to wait to see what happens. You can understand that," he said.
"But we will continue to identify possible targets, we will continue to make enquiries. But it will depend on where we are.
"We just have to go and get the job done. Once we are through this season, we will not be too far away."

IF we did go down, I don't think Blackstock would come. If he had any sense anyway :D
New player, signing tomorrow....

The cynic in me notes that he doesn't actually specify WHICH of plans A or B he's preparing for more....

I think it's implied in the next line.

Who is this leon Best fella people keep talking about. I hear he is a good player?

Andrea Silenzi's epic 2nd spell?

Hey, don't knock the lad, he scored a hat-trick at the weekend.

Speaking of which...

If we don't bid for Simon Cox in the summer, we're *******.

27 goals in one season while playing for Swindon is no mean feat, never mind the fact that he has scored three hat-tricks.

I remember when someone on this board suggested Cox whilst he was at Reading ... whoever it was should be on the acquisitions panel.

21. He's 22 next month according to Wikipedia.

I hope they go down really so they have to sell.

36 goals in 73 games for them is a great record.

Isn't he also about 5 foot tall? Don't need more midgets upfront if we're gonna have to keep playing high balls up to them. Also Paul Smith was a brilliant keeper at that level but if you listed to some on here he's w**k now, surely it'd be the same with Cox?

I feel really sorry for Cheltenham.

If it wasn't for them, we'd still be in that league (probably) and now they're pretty much relegated and they're probably going to go bust as well.

Their entire squad is up for sale I think, and they have no scout - saw martin allen talking on Sky and he said they didn't have a clue how Oldham are playing and that he just wanted his side to enjoy the match!

I don't know mate.

Natural goalscoring ability is what it is.

I get what you're saying though.

I'd be more than happy to sign him

For those who don't remember little Allan he was tiny - about 5 foot tall - and played full back for us on loan for a few months a couple of seasons back.

He isn't the solution to our goal scoring problems!!
