Yeah happy with either, but would be hugely disappointed if we landed on our 3rd choice. Both Spence and Williams are built to be prem players. I do think Williams is more well rounded though and actually more consistent going forward

Arguably Kabore and Vazquez would give us two attacking fullbacks with bags of potential for a third of the price of either Spence or Williams, freeing funds for other positions.

That's a good point though, if he is the best right back in the championship, does he want to prove himself at the highest level? I don't know enough about him, he could be a boro lad and want to do a worall.

I personally think Neco Williams is the better all round player too.

21 international caps and 2 goals and Williams is slightly younger than Spence.

Spence has only just made it at under 21 level because of his form at Forest this season.

It's a shame Spence is pushing for Spurs but everything happens for a reason, and I think we'll get the best deal overall considering how our backroom staff work on things these days.

Kabore on loan would be the value, doubt he’s leaving for cheap on a perm. Can’t really comment on him though, as I only know what I’ve read online that he’s a great dribbler, improving as a passer, but a defensive liability.

As is Spence...gets out of jail with his pace and Worrall covering for him.

Whereas Williams reads the game a lot better. Rarely seem him caught out in the full-back position.

Then you look at his attacking play and he carries the ball well and dribbles around players well too.....
It could allow us to play a back 4 instead of the wing-back system too I think. I can see what you mean anyway, and while Spence was definitely an important part of the promotion team, Williams coming in for the Premier League could be a really good move.

The one thing that would be lost would probably be Spence's extra drive and athleticism that can take him past opponents into good positions in the final third, but playing 4 at the back or not hopefully Forest can more than compensate for that with players such as Johnson (and for example Aribo if we sign him) using their flair to escape on the right and pick out colleagues in the centre, as well as hopefully a lot of good passing moves in the Forest tradition that can lead to a player ending up in good positions on the wing (and as and when it is Williams he has pretty good quality for passing and crossing it seems to me).

£20m for a lad who has 13 Premier League games and 14 Championship games under his belt and of those 13 Premier League games he's started 4... I thought £15m looked steep for him tbh.
He did say the full package- so includes add ons etc. Still very steep though.
