Nearly Sold Out?

Just been on to get tickets for a mate for the Sheep game, as far as I can see, apart from the back rows of Brian Clough Upper (didn't look at the lower) there is only single seats dotted about.

Not surprising really, i'd imagine we are at the point now where it may even be hard to get two + seats together in a lot of areas. Roll on 29th!

Online booking was in meltdown for a couple of hours from 9am. Have had to buy a single seat in the Trent End lower but at least I'm in.

Just wonder how many tickets we have given derby because if we are selling out this fast then there was no need to give them 5k as some people are saying.

We were always gonna sell out this fixture. If we'd played onny at home on this date it would be a bumper crowd because of the time of year. We only give them a full end because of policing issues. The club decide that they would rather have 4500 or so sheep paying top wack than just 2500.

They're selling out faster than Nick Clegg!

Online ticket ordering is still not working for me.

I imagine Derby will have the whole of the lower Bridgford as usual. Funny how we can segregate it for Blackpool and other fans but we don't bother with Derby therby giving them an advantage to be backed by a big following.

Segregation becomes a little more tricky with them though - can understand police and stewards not wanting both sets of fans in the same bit of the ground - they'd need to keep them apart both in the seats and in the concourses..

As long as they did their jobs properly there wouldn't be a problem. It is madness giving them a full 4000+ plus, especially as we get about half of that.

Agreed. To be honest I'd rather even if the segregation was a deal breaker then give the 2,800 and have them sit amongst empty seats..

Think many Forest fans would share this view, but unfortunately they see the £ as being more important. Not sure about segregation as an issue, I think that's lazy policing/a cost cutting exercise (or a combination of the two). Ultimately they'll go for whatever's safest and if they can make a few quid on top of that they'll jump at the chance. Agree with everything that's written above, though.

Fully agree with what everyone says but I'm sure I read somewhere a couple of years back the police refuse to allow both sets of fans in the same stand. Probably more to do with leaving the ground i would think. If we penned 2800 of them in amongst empty seats it could cost Forest 1700 x £32 which is over £50k. It would be worth it in my opinion but it's quite a bit of money to lose.

I think the Blackpool playoff game showed that it doesn`t matter if we 'restrict' the number of away fans...

The segregation in the seated area would be exactly the same as pride park with just some netting inbetween. Never a problem there. In the concourse close the metal gates half way down. Derby fans enter as usual from the brian clough car park, forest fans enter and leave via the main stand near A block. I cant see the problem. I hate to see that many sheep, especially with the measly allocation they give us!!

Makes you wonder.. We didn't give Blackpool the whole Lower Bridgford but is that because they couldn't sell their 4.5k allocation or is it because it's a playoff semi final game & loads of Forest fans want tickets.

If it's because Blackpool couldn't sell 4.5k then what would happen if we played Derby in the playoffs?

I can see two reasons for giving Derby a full allocation:

1. It makes the atmosphere more exciting as 4,500 Derby fans would be louder than 2,500 and consequently the Forest songs/chants will be even louder as all home areas raise the noise to drown out the large away following.
2. If you only allocate 2,500 then the other 2,000 Derby fans will simply scatter themselves through the home areas.

Doubtful considering you'll need a clients reference number to purchase a ticket in the home area.

Probably will be a few Dire in the home end, for their sake they won't be making much noise though.
