My opinion re Guy Moussi

I was lynched on here after the pre season game againest Moussi after i thought his performance at the Pirelli stadium was shit,I:e couldn't pass etc etc.Yesterday i thought he wasn't great but did ok after a spell out.But fellow forum members had a right go at him on this forum last night:


After these comments hardly anyone had a go saying these opinion are wrong or supporting Guy Moussi performance.But i was accused of not watching the game at Burton even though i went and people were very critical of my opinions.So after a few months have other fans finally seen the light and agree that Moussi isn't a 1st choice midfielder.

I'm not starting an arguement but i thought i may ask why i got lynched for my comments where others don't get as much stick for exactly the same comments.

I don't think anybody had a great game today but Moussi? He gave the ball away - time and time again. Not only did he get caught in possession numerous times, he also made some very poor passes which lead to us giving up possession.

My view for those who care .......

the team selection was stupid....... he talks about square pegs and round crap and then plays this ..... he amazes me.

cant have 2 players in same roll. moussi and mckenna, cohen on the right ............... enough said...



rest of it, midfield wont run forward and defense wasn't too bad however they still to this day continue to back off until the opposition shoot.

I disagree with Adam about Earnshaw but it's his opinion and he's entitled to it.

Did it not cross your mind that maybe at the Burton game he was fine in the eyes of 80% of people and you were in the minority.

Whereas yesterday it might have been a 50 / 50 split?

Well he was worst at Burton and a few Forest fans agreed with me on the train back to Nottingham that evening.

I thought Moussi was good against Blackpool, especially considering he's only just come back from injury. He made some excellent tackles, covered a lot of ground, and used the ball intelligently. He was clearly knackered by the time the 2nd half came around though.

McKenna and Cohen on the other hand were very poor.

the trouble with Moussi is he has been made into some sort of cult hero who everyone thinks is a world class player which he is not he is just an average player
he had an ok game on sat but for me he gives the ball away to much and has only had a couple of good games for us and should not be starting games.

Frequent posters on here tolerate other high posters much more than they do newbies.

I think one of the explanations for that is that they have actualy met face to face and are thus more interested in what each other has to say and also know that abuse may be challenged eye to eye later.

I cant recall seeing stuc or other old hand rip into anyone over an opinion or slated anyone for starting 'a pointless thread'.

(Aren't most threads on these fan sites pointless to many readers - if you think a thread is pointless, why not just disregard them like all of us lurkers do)?

As for Moussi, I like my men as i like my coffee, strong and black

I personally love it when a newbie comes on with something different to say. However a fair few just seem to come on a start a thread for everything they think about. Which is a little annoying for everybody.

I've observed it to be true during about a year lurking here and other chatty rooms.
