Why don't they fade out and let the fans sing the second verse? It's so obvious that they should to every one but the person controlling the P.A

Good video, makes the hairs on the neck stand up. Like Clifford says, would be so much better if they faded the final part out as the fans sing the 'City Ground' part

That pa system confuse the shiit out of me when singing that tune as I end up singing the wrong words or ending out of time with everyone else but intime with the pa system

It's just the same as every other chant - finishes up as an unintelligible row because people sing it too fast.

Sung at the right tempo it would be awesome - just like 'Walk On' at Celtic Park

it seems to have made a comeback and is a good pre match crowd stirrer. Clifford is right they should fade out when the crowd get going scare the opposition!!!

It doesnt need fading out. The crowd just need to learn how to sing properly.

You may not have noticed this, but the crowd sing different words to the Paul Mcartney version.

The Forest fans sing oh city ground it would be better if everyone sang in tune with the mull of kintyre song. If you listen to the video everyone has to wait for the song to catch up. Can everyone sing it slower. It ruins it!!

The problem is that most fans don't have the patience to wait two whole bars before picking up the next verse. :frantic:

What would be - er- helpful would be for the scoreboard to show the appropriate lyrics, for the clearly confused.

"CITY GROUND, oh mist rolling in from the TRENT, my desire is always to be here on CITY GROUND". I mean how difficult is it....Trowell is the geographical centre of England. You don't GET much further from the sea than Nottingham... The Trent embankment on a cold november afternoon, however.....

Sod Mull of Kintyre, Mr. McCartney...THIS version is better!

And you can see my flag in the video too, so that's grand! :)

Is that a genuine fact ? My parents live just off J26. Always made it hard to decide wether to go to Skeggy or the other way for the beach !

Yep.

The Festival Inn dates from the Festival Of Britain, in '51. Trowell was chosen as it's the closest inhabited place to the centre of England.

Great video. You should send that to anyone involved with our supposed new stadium.

The Nottingham Forest faithful singing along to Mull of Kintyre...

:tysonflag2:

awesome!! just how i remember it. My elders and betters on here have said many times that the pipes etc fell flat 'cos no-one could hear it - well i heard it and enjoyed singing along. If we cant afford blokes in skirts every home game why not play over the P.A. one of the instrumental versions available?
