Murillo Santiago Costa dos Santos of BRASIL!

100% this. There's also a reason that Cloughie was so eager to get the young lads moved out of single digs on Colwick Road and have them married off. Once you've got married and got children your priorities and mindset change.

I don't think it takes much to convince Murillo where he's loved, appreciated and wanted. He strikes me as one of the most humble elite footballers around. The little touches from having his gender reveal at the ground, flying his family in for him and generally making a huge fuss of him and his loved ones will go a long way.
He seems to be very much a family man so I expect the way the club responded to the sad death of EA’s mum will also have made an impression on him.

Yeah, didn’t Cunha sign a new deal at Wolves a few months before leaving?
Yes, though pointedly that deal had a very public release clause in it. We might yet sell him for the right offer sooner or later but I’ve no idea where folk get the idea he’s desperate to get out the club from. The usual armchair body language clairvoyants.

Is it about my cube?
I really like this guy. Seems genuinely happy and grateful to be where he is and I love that that's with Forest. The lad's also got exactly the same physique as Mr Grumpy from The Mr Men and I look forward to seeing him score a City Ground thunderbolt after a long mazy run from his own half.

It's my cynical attitude to football now especially with the introduction of the new financial rules favouring the biggest of teams only

I'm more than happy he's staying and just maybe his family is happy where they are, just look at the Anderson thread everyone shitting themselves that he was leaving at the end of last season and then January.

I wish I was a f***ing Clairvoyant I would have said no to my other half when asked about a second date...anyway how do you know he isn't desperate to get out Edgar Cayce?

First Team Squad
I think perhaps we as a fan based don't give enough credit into the closeness and family feel in the squad and club. It's clearly an environment that the players love being in and aren't pushing pushi to leave, even in the case of someone like Murillo who will know he would have plenty of potential suitors in this country and in Europe.
This gives me optimism about MGW staying, apparently his dad said he really just wants to be appreciated, and with just being cold shouldered by the German I think Morgan might be happy to commit to where he knows he's so highly regarded

Nottingham's dirty secret
Get yer wives & girlfriends to throw their knickers at him tomorrow.

Just try to avoid his forehead.

I have it on good authority that Murillo is going to the Scousers.

I could just about cope with him going abroad.

But not to them.

Therefore I am practising him not being my all-time favourite any longer… 😢😢😢
I said the above on Jair’s thread at the end of April…
Will he let you change your picture back Rosie - you were soon off to his mate! 😂
With hindsight the information I was given was b****cks, so Murillo is now back in his rightful place. Jair isn’t doing too bad as a deputy though.

I seem to have a fondness for young Brazilian defenders… 😍😁🤣

Because he’s just signed a contract extension and said “This is my second renewal with the Club and I’m feeling so happy. It’s a dream and it’s really important for me, my family and my career. It shows me how important I am for the Club and that people have confidence in me.”

Now, I’m not naive to believe all the positive PR that comes out the club, but at the same time not everything is a conspiracy either and it’s reasonable enough to take some things at face value unless given good reason to think otherwise.

Try A Little Tenderness
When he signed I was resigned to watching him for 6 months tops, we will now go into our 4th season under him. Arguably one of the clubs greatest ever defenders, and he could have agitated for a move away several times but genuinely seems to love it here. The club deserves big credit for that too.
There might be a slight height issue, but Murillo alongside Desmond at his peak would be NFFC's best centre-back pairing in my opinion.

Interesting that the quote from the club on the renewal came from Syrianos...

Global Technical Director no less......

Delighted with the news, as already mentioned its an honour to watch this lad play for us and if you had told me we'd still have him 3 years after that mazy run at Selhurst Park and that he would be even more reliable and consistent i would have laughed. Now we're heading into our 4th season with him and hopefully for many seasons beyond.

I just hope that theres no release clause, or if there is one that it begins with 100.

Neco next hopefully!
