wouldn it make the experience more amazing in all stands of forest fans, help up there scarfs wilse singining this. would me amazing!

Re: Mull of kintiyre

held up their scarfs i mean :D

Re: Mull of kintiyre

Well,we have to see.

But it doe's look doubtful, because They be in bristol, and IF they did do some, thry would of done some.

Re: Mull of kintiyre

We can barely sing it in time, so I can't imagine any synchronised scarf-holding is very likely. Plus it would indeed be a tad to Scouse-like.

Re: Mull of kintiyre

Not any of the 4 stands are in sync with each other anyway and a fair few don't even know thebloody words, so sing the original.

Re: Mull of kintiyre

I would like it if the tannoy bloke just played half of the song and let the other half be sung by just Forest fans like what West Ham do with Blowing Bubbles.

Re: Mull of kintiyre

Sounds too scouser-ish to me.

The majority of people are in time with the music but it's either A Block or Capital One Corner that gets ahead of everyone else and ends up ruining it. I've still not worked out which of those areas it is though.

I know I shouldn't let it get to me but it really frustrates me because the volume is fantastic and, if the minority that spoils it could just open their ears, it would be awe-inspiring.

To be fair it sounds like both of them. I've sat in main stand and you can hear A Block blasting through but equally the same with the corner. When the music starts not everyone joins in straight away, often I hear

Music starts . . . . . .

30% of the crowd . . . ' ound oh mist rolling '. . .

60% of the crowd . . . ' h mist rolling ' . . .

Pissed 10 % . . . ' We hate Derby, we ha . . . mist rolling in fro '
the only bit everyone does together is ' You REEEDDDDDSSSS ' at the end

Re: Mull of kintiyre

heres one for you trent end is quite a way from A block and so is cap one corner is it not possible that we are singing in time with the tannoy at our end but by the time the noise has traveled to your end because of the distance its traveled it sounds out of time with tannoy ect where your sat.

doubtful I know

Re: Mull of kintiyre

Can't they get Karaoke lyrics on the scoreboard? Little ball bouncing along the top?

No to the scarf thing. As others have said, bit too 'scouse'. And I f***ing hate LFC.
Would be nice if a few more round me joined in though, miserable sods. Perhaps they don't know the words, in which case get them on the scoreboard, or in the programme.
Sends a chill down the spine though, when it gets going :)

They sing it way to quickly. It's a slow song but Capital One corner belt it out like the chipmunks.

well they are chipmunks compared to us oldies in A block anyway everythings quicker for the younger generation did you never hear what happy hardcore did to alot of 70s tunes lol

We sing it out of time because the original is slower than how we sign it. They should speed up the song, easily done on a sound editing program!

I just have to post this video clip again, taken prior to the Coventry game from the A Block. Still sends shivers down my spine. :)

Sexy Linky

You can clearly hear the A Block ahead of others but when I was in the Trent End it appeared they were ahead. I guess it's all about sound acoustics and stuff. :)

Sound travels 340 m pr. second. So I don't think you can blame the acoustics. Unless it's played over the PA at Lego Lane.... :)
It's just out of sync...

I always hold mine up from the middle of the BC lower center. Its starting to catch on with a few around us too. I think it looks immense.

I tend to hold mine up at the key change. Got to say it looks great and sounds superb.
