Mull of Kintyre vs Bin Dippers...

Always brings a lump to my throat.

Nice little video,, always wondered how it sounded from elsewhere in the ground when this is sung. Sitting in the Trent upper it's always loud.

I thought the trent end did a fine job on Saturday and I was above the morgue that was the lower bridgford. :D

It's been mentioned several times on various city forums that they were pretty darn impressed with ltlf and mull of kintyre.

Edit: Do you sit in the tunnel!?

Hahahahaha! Nive video mate, Loved the text at the end!!!

I love random Audible guys 8)

(Not in A sexual way!)

its a proper anthem now, nearly all the ground joins in except some of the odderers in our stand (BCStand)

Bless them, a day out at a big club with atmosphere must have been nice.

I emailed forest before the Leicester game suggesting that the music should be cut just before the second verse to allow the fans to sing it at the fans pace as we sing it alot faster than the original and also as the PA System is louder is different parts of the ground it means some parts are well ahead or behind of others....this is the response i got:

Dear Paul,

Thank you for your suggestion regarding the pre match music.

I think it may be a bit risky to try it out for Leicester however we may look to do it sometime in the new year. I agree if it works, the sound of all the fans together would be fantastic.

Many thanks for your suggestion, and continued loyal support,

Kind regards

So it may be tried out !!

Good times!

It would be better still if they either sped up the recording or arranged a re-recording at the pace the fans tend to sing it as it never quite sounds right to my critical ear.

Had the hairs on my neck standing on end. I even nearly did the gay arm dance that everyone does to that horrible song (possibly the fratellis?) after the 5th goal

Someone should just record a version with the city ground lyrics. Maybe it could be an ltlf project.

So long as it's not Andy, Mark, Rich, Ozzy, Marriboom et al lol

The song is much better sang at the original slower pace in my opinion.

Surely an instrumental version would work best

Well i was thinking perhaps ask a local band to do it. Not sure if there would be any copyright issues involvf though

There are plenty of instrumental versions about already...just done a search on Spotify

Maybe, but our fans aren't clever enough to do it currently, so why would they for an instrumental? lol

We should just get Macca involved. Then instead of paying him royalties, we could just assure him that we've signed every 'Mc' in Britain in his honour.

Failing that, I reckon an instrumental version would be the best way to go, complete with bagpipes and all. The fans' voices over that, sung and played at the right speed, would sound fantastic. As for half the ground getting carried away and singing the second verse too quickly, the solution could simply be to play it louder so that everyone can stay in step with the other three sides of the ground. Easy!

Wouldn't it be nice for people to start talking about Forest's anthem the same way they're always banging on about LFC's You'll Never Walk Alone...

Oh yeah, and only ONCE per afternoon - we don't need it at the start of the second half.

The best thing about our seats is that whenever an opposition player is substituted, a very audible gentleman just to the right of us always shouts "YOU'RE COMING OFF BECAUSE YOU'RE CRAP" just as the player reaches the dugout. It makes me laugh every single time.

Reminds me of the legendary "bloke behind me" in my Main Stand days...

One afternoon, a Cloughie team was utterly demolishing some hapless outfit when the away manager sent his subs out to warm up.

In a voice loud enough for EVERYONE to hear came "Bloody hell! If you can't get into that starting eleven you must be REALLY crap!"

lol

M of K 1st half, how about LTLF for the 2nd?

I think if it was an instrumental played then a lot of people would struggle to know when to come in and it would be a mass of out of time lyrics that sound a complete mess. The two ******* behind me on saturday didnt know how to sing it with the non instrumental version.

I like how we've been singing the full first verse to Lost That Loving Feeling. Makes it infinitely better!

For ages, nobody sung it, and everyone just started with "you're trying hard not to show it".... that was rubbish

yeah, the atmosphere was brilliant even in the upper bc where i was, but to be honest, we absolutely pasted them. it's about the atmosphere when we're 1-0 down at half time, the boo boys will probably still come out.

ltlf should never be played on the pa ever.

Mull of Kintyre is under rated.. Macca is a fecking genius ..end of..
