Much Edu about nothing…

Who changed the thread title? Love it

Maybe Edu's transfer strategy itself wasn't so bad, given many of the players are now going well, but something about the way he was brought in, Nuno feeling undermined, and Nuno counter-undermining with the Europe squad, etc, just created friction in practice
That isnt Edu's fault either and obvioulsy Maranakis wanted this change as he backed Edu and not Nuno. This was all driven by Marankis thinking Nuno's way of doing things needed evolution.

Thing is if you look at what Vitor did at wolves this summer I think if we get rid of edu it may end up a distater. It’s obvious the players Edus identified suits Vitor. Vitor can’t be given the purse I don’t trust him 😅😅 Edu knows Brazilian football and has contacts. Plus we’ve got form for this we pied off Syrianos before realising he’d done well.
Reports from France last week said Syrianos interviewed for Marseille DOF , then turned them down.

Maybe he'll use it for leverage for more responsibility with the Marinakis empire? Or indicative of wholesale changes ahead?

I really hope we don’t have wholesale changes. There obviously needs to be some evolution but too
much disruption generally damages performance across the whole organisation

There does seem to be an inevitability of incoming DOF's getting a new coach. Is that the plan or just result of disruption

For example look at Eddie Howe going downhill since Ross Wilson came in or the revolving doors at Spurs on the boardroom and in the dug out

Edu's arrival heavily linked to the departure of Nuno.

Our best chance of stability is Syrianos getting a promotion?

To be honest, there is nobody left anyway.

We cannot lose Syrianos, he has been the only constant - for me he should get the top job here & delegate the stuff he doesn't want to or can do (maybe negotiating?) elsewhere. If he wants more authority he should get it.

I wouldn't be against him getting Glasner in second time round.

Yeah do we think Nuno would even have attempted to pull off what happened on Monday? I’m not so sure.
Pointless speculation now. Edu was the catalyst for our shit season but amazingly, VP can still salvage and make this a season to remember.
Marinakis made a lot of blunders that has nearly derail this season - first, by backing edu over nuno, then replacing nuno with that australian fraud, ange which in a few weeks destroyed the defensive solidarity nuno established last season. To marinakis credit, he quickly rectified his blunders - he acted quickly to replace ange with dyche which stabilised the club but dyche was slowly draining the players of their joy of playing, dyche was replaced by VP - right manager, right club, right time.
VP is the mvp since taking over. F*ck edu.
