I went down to watch the Reserves yesterday afternoon and Guy Moussi got a 40 minute run out which was nice to see.

He looked tentative (more so as the game went on) but did what he had to do, although against a Mansfield Town Reserves side consisting of a bunch of very scrawny young boys it is difficult to measure him this early in his recovery. He certainly wanted the ball, shouting and making space and he looked to play sensible balls when he got it. It was good to see him back.

Incidentallly, Bencherif was garbage yesterday. I've put in better performances at Powerleague. It's a shame because he is a fine passer of the ball.

Richard Tait, the young full back was absolute quality yesterday, as was young Reid, who I am sure will make more 1st team apperances soon enough.

good to hear, especially about the youngsters. Billy was there watching as well so hopefully he was impressed. Unfortunately we all know the step up to first team is massive.

Wonder if Moussi will be on the bench against D*rby? Be interesting if he is!

I would say his english would be alot better now, so maybe that can benefit him.

Can't wait to see him playing again.

I imagine Moussi will be on the bench against Derby, yes.

I doubt highly he'll play any part against Ipswich.

Incidentally, Steve Hodge was in the Director's seating too. ;D

Would be good to see him even get a ten minute run out against Derby.

I think his return is possibly far more important than points in any one game.

I hope he doesn't even get that, we've all seen the sheep botherers tactics this year and could do without lily trying to put him back out of action.

Your right about Tait and Reid. Obviously most know about Reid, but I really like Tait. He's a proper right back, good defensively, and capable going forward, can cross with both feet and has great tecnique. Always impresses me. More so than Moloney did in the reserves, which can only be a good thing!

In that case, he's at the wrong club.

By the way...Guy Moussi doesn't return from injury, the injury flees in terror.

Excellent point, but I think they have been able to play so dirty because nobody has been in the middle of the park to be our own enforcer.

Perhaps it might be wise to move Morgan into the middle of the field and give him the job of hurting people? :)

Reid always seem to get good reviews and in his brief first team action, he looked like he had something about him... more so than Thornhill, who he outshone. I wonder when Reid is going to get a chance.

This is what I don't get. He is heavily praised left right and centre, but can't get past Heath in the pecking order.

thought he was more of a left midfielder/winger than a left back, as heath is?

Maybe he hadn't impressed Billy in the last couple of reserve games? Wonder if he'll feature tonight in any way?

Moussi definitely won't play a part, even on the bench, as he played yesterday. I do think though that he will be sat, waiting, preying, on the bench on saturday. Lining up Savage and Common$

Reid doesn't play left back for the reserves, he used to at academy level and represented England's U17's as a left back but he's most definitely a winger now.

He's impressed me everytime I've seen him. Very skilfull and a good left peg, not particularly quick, though.

A typical Sott Dobie performance? :D

Moussi, Hopefully will bring back the bite into our midfield, lately the midfield has sometimes gone missing in games or is too light.
Bencherif, I do like, Hopefully he might get a chance if he does improve.
James Reid, looks a great player coming through, He likes to attak a lot too!

the Derby game is too soon for Moussi. I don't want to see him taken out by dirty Savage and miss the rest of the season.

moussi done the full pre-match warm up tonight and i got my hopes up and thought he may be on the bench but alas no , we could have done with his range of passing , ipswich were a poor side.

I'd rather not risk him against Derby but if we somehow go 2-0 up and theres 20 minutes or so left, bringing him on will get the crowd going. Something which will be very important if we are under the cosh a little bit. I wish he'd been fit to match up against Savage though.

What shocks me about Reid is he is an England Under 18 international left back and is highly regarded. Yet Heath makes it before him in the pecking order ???

Hockley Hustler from here was telling me on the way down to Ipswich that he was chatting to the Moose a little while ago that he was hoping to be back for the Derby game because he wanted to snap Common's in two lol

No love lost between the dressing room and KFC either then
