What a performance! Out since October and yet ran the show in the midfield, broke up play and joined in the attacking third. Also thought McKenna had a good game. Sky never showed the stats but i'm sure in our first half possession would have been 80% in our favour. Great performance and made West Brom look second rate, at home! Billy Davies..tactically spot on..come on Forest!!!

I never rate opinions of myself or anyone else on this forum about our own teams performance over that of a neutral.

and my friend watching the game with me - a Man United fan but not a complete idiot - was amazed when Moussi was subbed as he said he'd been the best player on the pitch (though I then pointed out he'd been out injured.)

Moose had a slow start but was magnifique from then on.

Inevitable substitution as he must've been f**ked!

Agreed. Takes a lot more of the effort off of McKenna when he's on the pitch.

The game changed when he went off. We had total control until that point. Granted, a formation shuffle at that point didn't help, but nonetheless, it was a turning point - but not significant enough to make a difference to the result.

One block in particular was outstanding, not long before he came off. On the halfway line, he threw himself at it like he was defending on his goal line.

It epitomised what Forest were like all night.

He looked a bit clumsy at first - he was a bit too casual, giving the ball away too much. But after he got going he was class.
He broke up everything, even contributing to the last two goals.

I did get a bit worried when he came off. His presence was huge in that middle, but Cohen, and later Perch, filled in more than adequately.

It's great having him in there against some of the teams who like to boss the football. Welcome back, Moussi!

I don't know if this was the same time, but I remember that harsh McKenna tackle altering the game slightly. There was a lengthly stoppage just as we were in our stride, and there fans got up a bit.

Still, rarely do you have it all your own way away from home, certainly not at West Brom.

Im not 100% sure if im right but it was pretty much the same team that started against Newcastle except shorey was in for tyson and cohen was right wing instead of left back. Assured display by the Mouse, most of the times I think he looks clumsy but I think he has a similar stature to Kanu at Portsmouth. He looks awkward but does the simple stuff well and links up the play well. I think he is the best accompnaying midfielder to have with Mckenna but having them play will always mean having one up top because Raddy is our playmaker.

I hope the mouse isnt too badly injured again, looked like he hobbled off.

Mousse done well. He was there when needed in the thick of the action, drove out of midfield with the ball a couple of times, helped in a couple of attacks. I think it was he who knocked it on for Cohen to score.

It was, he also gave the ball to Gunter to cross for Raddy.

As I mentioned earlier in the day. I believe this to be our best best formation. With the exception of possibly Tyson on for Cohen at home.
Imagine what we'd look like with a proper left wing :)

I maybe a bit harsh, but I still wouldn't have that much faith in the Moose as the sole holding midfielder in the absense of Mckenna. Both of them together really compliment each other.

I was watching The Moose in the moments running up to the Forest bench putting the board up with his number on to be substituted, and he definitely hobbled off a bit, not wanting to put too much weight on what must have been that troublesome ankle.

Moose was bloody fantastic though, a good shout for 'man of the match'

Aye it must have been tough on his ankle, the pitch looked pretty hard, the ball was bobbling quite a bit. Wonder if he'll get a run out against Brum or save him for the Reading game.

He was superb tonight.
He stops the Forests midfield getting bullied and lets Raddy play more.
He's a big old unit ain't he.

You could say that mate! :D

Moussi had a very solid return to the team, and was instrumental in the centre of midfield, great link man as previously mentioned and was involved in the last 2 goals aswell.

Im not 100% convinced that Moussi has been injured this long, I think Billy gives nothing away and this keeps the opposition guessing.

Would definately have given MOM to Moussi but have to say the whole midfield and defence were superb. West Broms creative players such as Brunt and Dorans were never given a split second on the ball. They couldn't get any sort of rythmn to thier play because of the closing down and shape of our side.

looked like he hobbled off at the end, hope he isn't injured for another 8 weeks we need him for the derby game :D
