If I were the PL watching all these clubs take the piss out of the PSR rules, I'd push back on clubs retrospectively registering player sales like we're presumably going to be doing here.

But I think that’s standard accounting practice-as long as it can be proved the deal was agreed by 30 June.

I’m not convinced the Premier League are as actively keen to charge teams as many seem to think. Sure, if you submit your accounts with a £20m breach in them, as with us and Everton they’ll have to act, but otherwise they don’t really have a leg to stand on.

Moussa was one of the early signings on our return and very obviously bought into our situation and what it meant to the club. He only ever gave 100% and was an important player for us and played a big part in us staying up that first season.
It means a lot that he takes away special memories from his time here. As others have said I hope he goes on to great things.

Sometimes you just look at people, their facial expressions and their energy and you sense what they're about. Even when you haven't met them.

Niakhate always came across as a genuine, humble human being. That statement from him confirms it for me. Truly heartfelt words.

Wish the man nothing but the greatest of success for the rest of his career and whatever life holds for him afterwards.

Very good player. Probably the first really exciting signing we made when we came up. Started the season as first choice centre back in most people's eyes I would think. Just unfortunate for him a Brazilian wonderkid came along. He'll do well in France. I'll be rooting for Lyon to win the title now.
