Hi

With derby day approaching I thought I'd ask everyone what their most memorable Forest Derby match has been.

For me I recall being taken to the Baseball ground and seeing Forest win 2-0 (late 80s I think) with goals from Jemson and Hodge if memory serves.

Ah the good old days when losing to Derby was simply unheard of!

Your thoughts pls....

3-0 at home mauling of them in the 02-03 season

A brace from Harewood and one from Darren Huckerby, with Derby having a consolation goal ruled out for offside late on.

Great times.

I remember the 2-2 at home in 98/99, Dorigo penalty put them ahead, then we got two in quick succession, Dougie Freedman got one, then they pegged us back again. Cracking match, I remember being sat in the lower BC and a Derby fan being in the box above us and celebrating their first goal, then copping loads of stick when we went ahead. We all clapped him and he clapped us back at the final whistle, thats what football should be about.

That was the best Forest Derby game I think ever.

Magnificent times.

Agreed. My friend who has a soft spot for Derby was there with me that day, and he is coming on Saturday too....

I was at that game. That's probably the one I'd pick too.

The season we beat them 3-0 i had a season ticket in the trent upper but i couldnt make it back to games during the week and so i missed our last win against them! Unfortunatley the only win i saw it was 1-0 back in 1991 - Roy Keane with the header in front of the old Trent End. That was also the last Forest match my dad ever went to as well.

This was the one for me, it was about a month after I'd started at Derby University. You don't truely appreciate the rivalry until these games are on.

Went down my halls bar quite early (it opened at 7pm) and sat with my friend Laura, a fellow tricky, on one side of the empty bar.

Then some Derby supporter turned up and sat the other side. from then on, everyone who turned up - Derby fan or neutral, was encouraged not to sit on our side of the bar. So by the time of the second half there was about 30 people on one side of the bar and the two of us on the other! lol

Couldn't get tickets for that one but they played it back live to a big screen at the City Ground and so i watched it there. It was the one and only time the Clough Stand has ever had an atmosphere!
