Are you looking forward to your trip up north and 90 minutes of abuse regarding your historical failings?
Anyway, Beer wise, your f**ked tomorrow as tuesday is ringraider night and alot of ale houses are shut because the trade isnt there to make most pubs worthwhile opening up.
Those that are open will be home fan's only, including the wetherspoons which will be checking tickets after a little trouble with those hard lad's from S6 and the fact SYP are expecting a bit of bother.
Best bet's are the metroDump sport's hall, arse end of sheffield road in the coach and horses or queen vic or down to the Prince depening on where SYP want you and how many come via british rail.
Coming by train, you could always get off in sheffield and get the 1917 train to Barnsley. gets in at 1940 five minute walk up the hill.
Those coming by minibus, theres a brewers fayre type pub straight off at 37.
Those coming by car park in the grassy bit by the north stand where away fans park...you'll get out quicker...

oh as a post note, Wakefield scab, living in Wakefield means you automatically lose the right to slag Barnsley off. Most of your fair city is a complete toilot.

That West yorkshire one - I'm over 16 and alot of those who shout scab or start the chants off are seemingly over 40. And it's not just in Sy that you get called a scab, I remember watching you at Cardiff and there was a bit of a scab chant going about..
DanR - The club messed up, every home ticket had to be purchased with a proof of address and support.I nearly didnt go myself given i live as close to Nottingham as I do Barnsley. As for Robin's he'll still be here. Dont think he's all that yet.

I can say from my visit last season Barnsley fans were the most obnoxious I've ever encountered. Horrible town as well in a shit hole region!

I still cannot see how it was a historical failing, not to follow that dirty commo bastard Scargill. If him and the boy's had done the right thing by a proper ballet, instead of forcing the Unions hands knowing the no brainers in Yarkshire would follow him...anythings better than working for them.

Natural wastage could have been used, pits that were no longer economic could have been shut down and the Miners found work at nearby mines that were viable.

This way an industry that was in a terminal decline could have continued to be productive for many years after. But no, the Commies wanted to take on Mrs T, got their backsides whupped and then years after they come on football forums so blind they still cannot see the light.

"historical failing" what working in the job your paid to do so your family can have food, clothes and heat. Nevermind the strike wasn't properly organised that the NUM were corupt or that having a coal strike in the summer is a daft idea to start with!

If were talking about failings how about current ones. Like for example that Barnsley is now a BNP strong hold, or how about that the only reason Barnsley has anything built is because you get all our money from Objective 1 funding that comes from Europe.

A hole in the ground sounds like the best place for you!

We now have unleaded petrol, over 500 channels on Television, mobile phones are now no longer the size of house bricks and this thing you are posting on is called the (watch out, long word here...) In-ter-net, for those of you living in the dark ages as your post clearly shows, this invention allows one to talk to another through an electronic typewriter with a television in front of it. ;)
