Morgan Anthony Gibbs-White

Having read the article it's more of a speculation piece about why Morgan's changed agents this summer. It says that Morgan is impressed with Glasner, and his arrival has had a positive impact. Also says that Bayern would be interested if Olise left to Real, nothing more than that.

For this to happen you would expect that Vinicius would have to leave Madrid and then they’d have to replace him with olise. Seems like a long way away and I’d be amazed if he wasn’t in for one last campaign.

He's also pinned it as his top tweet. So is he pushing something we don't know about. I had a look at Tijani Reijnders profile at Man City and it was closest to MGW out of all our midfielders.
To be fair, if he does go, I think Jesus is perfect for the role. Hell playing him as a 10 and kali as a second striker and wood as a centre forward.

I'd be frankly astounded if EM agreed to sell both him and Anderson in the one summer window.
As would I but MGW would be a complete moron frankly to not try and push through the deal if he possibly can.

Something has to give really this summer either way with Gibbs-White as a club like ours can't afford our biggest asset to lose up to half his value by not signing a new contract.

Be careful.

You're starting to sound like Omar more with every post.

I agree that it would be astounding if we sold MGW too.

I guess you never 100% know, the money in football is out of control, Newcastle have now sold 3 starting players for £235m or there abouts.

Reijnders and Bergvall in, MGW out, money broadly offsets and you still have the Ando money. Hypothetical, and nonsense, more than likely, but major moves are happening in the PL this Summer so there is that.

If Jesus/Kalimuendo was the replacement for MGW I’d f***ing sell my tickets every week on the exchange.

Even with another 100million in the bank we’d struggle to replace him and his goals from last season.
Really? Lets put it in reality, same MGW that was playing when ange went to shit and dyche was shit? Lets face it his game aswell as the rest of their games picked up once vitor came in.

I’m optimistic about Jesus, but that’s positively evangelical. If MGW goes and the club thinks they can replace his output with Jesus I’ll be astounded.
Yeah, very different players. Can both play in the 10 but think about work rate and dynamism.

Anyway, Gibbs white is going nowhere I'm sure

Jesus is a decent player and all but he's not in MGW's class and never will be. Very few in the division are hence his numbers last season.

I'd be seriously concerned if the plan was to sell Gibbs-White and have Jesus in a ready-made replacement. It won't happen anyway as I don't think any club would be willing to pay what we would want for him. Unfortunately next summer is a different matter entirely but I suppose we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.

This is the one I've been afraid of. He was simply superb in the second half of last season. Tuchel's refusal to take him to the World Cup revealed more about his own cowardice than it did about MGW who was increasingly conspicuous by his absence. MGW's stock within the game must be very high right now.
If a big Champions League club comes in for him, it would make sense for him to grasp the opportunity. The Bayern link is tenuous but it wouldn't be at all surprising. And if he wants to go it may be very hard to keep him.
It will probably all come down to the fee. Hopefully, no one else is willing to meet our valuation of him (he's worth more to us than anyone else), which must be around the £80 million mark. But if the likes of Bayern are determined to do so, we're in trouble.

Perhaps this is why the Reinjders rumours has legs? MGW replacement?
