But it has to be one of those entities who let Spurs know, it wasn't the club, and the agent acts in the client's interests and to their instructions...

I think it's reasonable to say at the very least he was open to it, the fact Spurs knew the details around his release clause hints towards his agent leaking it. But Marinakis quickly resolved it, gave him a bunch more money and reassured him he'll continue to be the main man as long as he stays here
I don't believe he was actively pushing for a move, but he would have gone if not for EM getting a hold of the situation

Saw MGW father in Braga as he was staying at the same hotel. Talking generally about MGW he commented that Morgan just wants to be somewhere where he feels loved, club and fans.
I just wonder if more went on last summer during pre season than we thought and something happened to make him feel frustrated and unappreciated. Marinakis obviously then decided to put that right which is why he ended up staying.

If he went it would surely have to be because Forest were made an insane (£120m+) offer, and even then I can only see him wanting to go to a Man City / Man Utd level Club. I just can’t see him signing for the Tottenhams or Leicester Citys of this world.

We cannot have a Liverpool type situation of players going for a free, so if he really wants out at any stage, he would have earned it and hope the club doesn't stand in his way and we accept a reasonable fee in the circumstances. A number which is both reasonable for us and not punitive for any buying club.
