He has always led by example, he is a fantastic player & always delivers when it matters. I expect it will be the same for the run in. The ones around him are the ones that need to step up, because he is - and great to see us getting the ball quickly to his feet. It makes such a difference to our way of playing, makes us twice as good going forward, we saw this all night.

Just ping it into Gibbs-White with his back to players, he will always find a pass that starts an attack.

That's two world class goals in the last two games. And two terrific all round performances.
He was in a real rut for much of the season but fair play to him, he's had the character to play his way out of it.
Having him at his best is a huge boost for the relegation battle.

Despite all that, this has been a disastrous night results wise. We're a lot more likely to go down now than we were two hours ago.
Slightly, but we're still less likely to go down than West Ham.

Spurs and Leeds were the biggest losers in the night.

I don't agree with this.

The belief this gives the players is massive. We haven't laid a glove on city at their place since we came back up. We matched them tonight and the players were brilliant. That's the template for the rest of the season. West Ham play city next too. Leeds will be very nervous.

Exactly, it's not just about West Ham

The two above us have been dragged back into it.

People say all the time we should just focus on ourselves, we have done our job today, if we keep doing that we will gain ground on others.

I think the total opposite. Massive boost for the players in performance and result which builds belief. We deserved the goals we scored and we fought manfully. Spurs aren't going to do that.

West Ham aren't the ones that ones I'm watching, Spurs are. I don't think they've got the minerals.

Couldn't disagree with this more. Tonight is massive for us, we've played a game in which we expected to get a hiding and West Ham won the easiest game they have for weeks, and somehow we got the point that ensured we stayed out of the relegation zone. That will be a massive boost for the players that they got a point on a night no one thought they could and they showed that they are up for the fight. Spurs and Leeds were the big losers tonight, it wasn't disastrous for us at all, it would have been if we were sitting in the bottom three tonight, but the opposite is true since we aren't.

He'll break my heart the day he leaves, what a filthy finish that was tonight, and he is our captain. Even in defeat at the weekend he ran his bollocks off and looked like the only one capable of doing something, tonight he led the charge and you can see how much it means to him.

God it would be horrible to lose him because of a relegation, of all things. A joy to watch.
