Having joined in June of 2008 it is fair to say that Forest fans knew little about the man from Bondy, France. Interestingly during the middle ages Bondy (a suburb of Paris) was primarily forest which was a well known haunt for bandits and robbers, and extremely dangerous! With so many connotations it's not surprising that the Moose soon became a cult hero amongst us fans. Although hampered by injury the Moose has put in some impressive displays including two memorable goals for different reasons. The first was goal at the City Ground deep into injury time against Barnsley giving us a 1-0 win. Unfortunately his over overzealous celebration in front of the Trent End resulted in picking up a second yellow and subsequent red! - although I don't think anyone in the ground gave a flying f**k as the City Ground rocked! His second and even more impressive goal came away at Bristol with a thunderous 25 yarder that ended a run of seven successive away defeats. Other memorable moments to date include the exercept missile that killed Ibrahima Sonka live on Sky!

So with the knee ligament injury that kept him sidelined for 5 months and the other niggling injuries hopefully behind him what can we expect from the Moose this season?

His choice of passing and willingness to have the ball is suburb, yes the odd pass goes astray, but all in all I for one have been impressed with the Moose to date. What he needs now is a good run in the team and I'm sure he can become one of the most sought after midfielders in the Championship. I know Billy was telling him he had to get up and down more and chip in with more goals but I really don't see the goals in him (say for the odd thunderbolt!) He is a player with a massive physical presence and can muscle people for fun as well as tackle. Composed under pressure and pleasure to watch when he's firing on all cylinders. Personally I'd like to see him line up with McKenna as part of a five man midfield with both anchoring and starting us off. Two out and out wingers with Majewski pushed on (or maybe this is for away games?)

I really hope this lad can push on now, cement his place and become the new 'Makelele' - Every one of the fans want him to succeed and we're crying out for another 'legend', 'cult hero' and 'special player'. Will the Moose be this man or will the wait go on?.............

i agree , moussi was beginning to look very impressive towards the end of last season and we missed him badly in the play offs , if fit & available i'd play him every week.

Plenty of glimpses last season of what we should expect from him this season if he can remain fit. One thing I would like to see is an improvement in consistency. He is young though so plenty of time to improve. Loved his cheeky grin and thumbs up to the fans at the end of the WBA away game last year.

I had the pleasure of watching him against mansfield and Lyon and he look very very impressive against both of them! Held the ball up well and his passing was very good! Deffinately one to watch this year! Also i have a funny feeling that his name will have pride of place on the back of my shirt this year!

There is a majewski shirt in red and white, may have to get one.

I'd have one of them, if they'd have put his name on the back.

It'd be nice if forest put out tshirts with the player names and numbers on the back- with just a little forest badge on the front somewhere.

Kind of the like the nba tshirts you get.

Something like

But obviously forest themed

a good player to have in your team i think, offers something different

We should start a petition/Facebook group to get him in the France squad for their next friendly, when everyone else is 'suspended'...

Moose only got 1 year to go on his contract , we really should get his contract sorted out or risked loosing him.

At 25 , he's at his peak and he has a lot to offer. He's slightly injury prone but when he's on form , he can dominate the midfield like no other players we have.
