First Team Squad
Having joined in June of 2008 it is fair to say that Forest fans knew little about the man from Bondy, France. Interestingly during the middle ages Bondy (a suburb of Paris) was primarily forest which was a well known haunt for bandits and robbers, and extremely dangerous! With so many connotations it's not surprising that the Moose soon became a cult hero amongst us fans. Although hampered by injury the Moose has put in some impressive displays including two memorable goals for different reasons. The first was goal at the City Ground deep into injury time against Barnsley giving us a 1-0 win. Unfortunately his over overzealous celebration in front of the Trent End resulted in picking up a second yellow and subsequent red! - although I don't think anyone in the ground gave a flying f**k as the City Ground rocked! His second and even more impressive goal came away at Bristol with a thunderous 25 yarder that ended a run of seven successive away defeats. Other memorable moments to date include the exercept missile that killed Ibrahima Sonka live on Sky!

So with the knee ligament injury that kept him sidelined for 5 months and the other niggling injuries hopefully behind him what can we expect from the Moose this season?
His choice of passing and willingness to have the ball is suburb, yes the odd pass goes astray, but all in all I for one have been impressed with the Moose to date. What he needs now is a good run in the team and I'm sure he can become one of the most sought after midfielders in the Championship. I know Billy was telling him he had to get up and down more and chip in with more goals but I really don't see the goals in him (say for the odd thunderbolt!) He is a player with a massive physical presence and can muscle people for fun as well as tackle. Composed under pressure and pleasure to watch when he's firing on all cylinders. Personally I'd like to see him line up with McKenna as part of a five man midfield with both anchoring and starting us off. Two out and out wingers with Majewski pushed on (or maybe this is for away games?)
I really hope this lad can push on now, cement his place and become the new 'Makelele' - Every one of the fans want him to succeed and we're crying out for another 'legend', 'cult hero' and 'special player'. Will the Moose be this man or will the wait go on?.............
