Even if there is that sort of money to spend I'd rather see it done in a steady programme of building rather than blow it all in one summer spree. I'm not sure that the wisest buys are made when the money gets spent in a short space of time. I'd happily see us spend a chunk this summer, strengthen again in January and really go for it next summer to build on what we have.

I agree with you, slowly build up a squad over the period of two seasons that is capable of promotion. Instead of blowing it all in one go and having nothing left in January.
