Not a bad idea, he can get a taste of how the other half live on the billionnaire's side of the river ;)

If he wears a jacket with deep pockets, he'll be able to help himself to their wealth on his way out.

Good deal for Notts if true. Some more signings like that and they might start to fill the Jimmy Sirrel stand more than once a season.

Maybe he can help finally put that wheel back on that wheelbarrow.... After all they can afford it now!

Maloney to the sadpies!

Brendan's A Magpie
Wed 01 Jul 2009

Nottingham Forest defender Brendan Moloney has joined neighbours Notts County on a six-month loan.

The deal will see the Republic of Ireland Under 21 international reunited with former Forest reserve coach Ian McParland, who is in charge at Meadow Lane.

It's the third time the 20 year old, who can operate in a number of positions, has headed out on loan.

He had spells with Chesterfield and Rushden & Diamonds last season and has also made 15 first team appearances for The Reds.

...... has joined them on a 6 month loan.

Presumably BD has plans for cover at full backs now that he has let Heath and Moloney go out on loan.

No wonder my post count..
Re: Maloney to the sadpies!

We must have a couple of defenders lined up if Billy's starting to loan some out.

Think he is quite a good signing for them to be honest. You have to remember they are still a lower league 2 club playing in front on average crowds of under 5k.

I don't think we should be helping them out by loaning them our players though.

I hope Brendan comes back .I think he is good enough with a good defence helping him out. Good luck and I hope hope we see you back.

I think some more time in the hustle and bustle of League 2 will do him good. I think he has good quality, yet his stature could do with improving. Remember seeing him at St Andrews against, for example, Cameron Jerome, and he looked like (an albeit very tall) mascot.

2 more years+2 more stone = Happy Days :)

Re: Maloney to the sadpies!

Nice to see Notts have finally accepted their position as our feeder club.

I thought county was too good for to take players from us, but on a serious note its good to see him go and get some games and hope he comes back better for it.
