Minutes Silence

Just wondering if Forest will have a minutes silence today to remember the Hillsborough disaster. Apparently Liverpool are having one. Wonder how the Bristol knuckledraggers will greet it.

Do you think the scouses will be able to resist singing "we hate Nottingham Forest" for one minute. Also i wonder if they hold a minutes silence for the victims of Heysal every year.

What happened at Hillsborough was a tragedy and I feel for the families of those involved.

If they have a minutes silence for this, they should have a minutes silence for the victims at Heysel:

39 murdered and 600 injured by Liverpool fans on May 29 1985.

One thing is certain if we do have a minutes silence at least our fans will be respectful enough to actually stay silent.

Whoever was at fault that sad day, that is no way to pay your respects to those innocent people, many of which were children, It would be a minutes silence for them, for which i think it is deserved, whether you agree with it or not.

Should a minute silence be announced, then I - and I hope all Forest fans - would honour it.

Take the blame out of the equation and 96 souls departed this world far too early because they got to a football game early.

That should never be.

Would've thought it would've been mentioned by now if it was.

i actually pervertedly like a minutes silence before a game, think we should have one every week, the roar at the end of it is immense!, bit like loading a load of greyhounds up in traps, when the release goes on the door....rocket power !

Well said Winnits.

I often forget the innocent people who died that day and instead just spend my time attacking those who caused the problem,, which is wrong of me, i should know better really. I do respect those who died, and my thoughts do go out to the families of thsoe who lost loved ones on the day. Many of those who died were children who didnt stand a chance on an overcrowded terrace. I have seen more horrific pictures than those posted on this forum,, no one deserves to lose a life like that simply trying to watch a game of football.

Scousers made out to be the victims of this. The 96 who died were innocent and I feel for them and their families, but a number of Liverpool so called fans killed their own - only four years after Heysel.

They almost did the same outside the Olympic Stadium in Athens before the Champions League Final, massive crush, many fans with no tickets. Liverpool fans blaming everyone else. AC Milan fans had no problems.

Don't get me wrong it was a sad sad day for Football, and I was there in the main stand at Hillsborough watching everything happen that day, it annoys me that Liverpool fans are always painted in a good light.

Sorry maybe a bit harsh but thats how I feel.

I will honour the minutes silence next week if it happens, as all Forest fans should.

It has been announced that there will be 2 minutes silence at Sheff Utd on Monday, with 96 church bells rung after the 2 mins......

Whats eveyones thoughts on that then, i'm asking as some were moaning about having just 1 min silence.

Seems over the top to me. The media are making sure nobody can forget what happened anyway, or at least their version of what happened.

I have to agree! Even memorial coverage on BBC, on Wednesday!

Dont get me wrong, i enjoy watching Liverpool play football, but as for Hillsborough thats a different matter, and we all know who was to blame, but i would adhere to the 2 min silence purely for the 96 innocent people that sadly past away that day.

If it were inflicted on me of course I would be quiet for 2 minutes, I'm not going to Bramall Lane so it won't be.
