Miles Addison

He looked w**k yesterday, haven't seen much of him and don't know much else about him so can't comment any further.

Wouldn't have a chance of a game with Wes and Wilson playing like they are. I'd even go so far to say I'd prefer Chambers at centre half as he's played well there when needed.

He hasn't done anything there to convince me he'd be an improvement on anything we've already got.

If he did sign he'd be "James Perch II" in my eyes and Derby would probably want silly money for how good he is, remember this is the club that want £3m-£4m for 30 year old Rob Hulse who couldn't score from three yards out against Scunthorpe and on their forums the fans think Addison is worth "£3m - minimum" which quite frankly is laughable.

I wouldn't put him ahead of McKenna or Moussi for a holding midfield role and if we're talking generally about central midfielders he can take his place in line behind Majewski, Cohen and McGugan.

As with anything these days, I would accept Billy's judgement.

Whilst it would be amusing to take him on just to piss off their fans, that's their modus operandi - are you telling me they didn't take Commons, even Clough and co without half an eye on 'getting one over' on us?

If Billy feels he can add to our squad then great, otherwise, sod it.

I find it amusing how the sheep fans think that their board would reject any offer from us because we're rivals. Firstly they need the money so can't afford to be picky and secondly with owners such as theirs who don't care too much about Derby and just the profitability (ha!) of the club then they will just see numbers and not be too concerned about where they're coming from.

If the situation was the other way round I'm not saying ND would care too much an offer was coming from Derby but as a Forest fan you know he'd understand what it meant to sell one of our players to them.

Anything south of 1.5M would be a good signing, don't think he'd get straight into the team but on the few occasions I've seen him he appears to have the swagger of a class player in the making

There was nobody in the Sh@ggers team yesterday that could or would make a difference to us.

I don't know why I'm answering this post - we don't need any of them so lets just leave them to rot - they are :w**ker:.

Hard to see real potential when your team is awful. Derby could implode - there are real rumours about Nige going and one or two big decisions would then have to be made. The sheep rate Addison most highly of their players BUT we should only get him in if we are 100% sure of him. The sheep have, over the years done all sorts of things to try to put one over on us. Even BC did it with Hinton, Hennessey, Moore (failed), Newton (via Everton) etc. Taylor took Robbo, they took Commons and probably took on Nige with an eye on us. Then they paid over the odds for (Barker was it?). Maybe - if he's good enough-lets have him, but not for silly money. £1 million should be enough.

Just because he played crap yesterday doesn't equal he is a shit player.

He is Derby's best player by far and it seems Clough is playing him out of position for most of this season. If we can get a player at his age and let someone like McKenna mentor him then why can't he be a decent midfielder ? As a defender he seems to be hit and miss but again with guidance he could well become a very good player.

I think I have also been told this is another lad who came through our academy doors but we let him leave.

Just a thought but how many games did Billy give him when he was there? Can't remember him figuring much, although that may not be much of a guide if we believed what some told us about the future of Camp and Earnshaw in the not too distant past.

he couldn't have been very old though (17-18) so that would have no doubt had some bearing on his amount of appearances.

I thought that too but he apparently got quite a few games before Billy came in under the caretaker and he was apparently "Frozen out" but I think it may just be some sour grapes from the sheep fans in all honesty desperately trying to point out anything they could stretch to be thought of as a mistake seeing as they now know they let a top quality manager go and come to us.

Before Billy took over at Forest lots of young'uns had chances before he opted to get players ready to play - Moloney, Thornhill, Byrne etc - all featured in or around the first team. Billy didn't 'freeze them out' - he put them back in the academy/loaned them out.

If billy wants him i'd welcome him to the city ground but we need to watch how many players we get in so we dont upset others already doing well etc.

We should put in a derisory offer of £500k to see how the Derby board react. If they dismiss it out of hand then it could work by unsettling the player, whilst also attracting other clubs attention - If they are willing to talk then that would show they are now a selling club - If they accept then that would be balls out hilarious

We have McKenna, Moussi and Perch already... so when is he ever going to get a game?

In the appearences i have seen him in he looks inconsistent, but also Kelvin Wilson in the last two seasons previous has been the same (League One fantastic, and first season in the championship not too good) But look what BD did to him ? Maybe if he can bring out the best in Addison then i would be happy for him to come to Forest.

I would like to see Addison here, the player has bags of potential and is good in the air especially from set pieces, and he can tackle and pass a ball without giving to the opposition!

Against the Geordies he was fantastic, and against us last season at their place, he was very impressive, i think he would be a very good addition to our squad

If he performs in training and possibly improves why wouldn't he get a game ? He has more potential in him the James Perch, a player that I rate.

How many people thought that Kelvin Wilson would play much this season ? In fact I'd say a good 90% of this forum were wanting another defender to partner Wes at the back as Chambo and Wilson were considered not good enough. But Wilson got stuck in, trained hard, played well and now not as many people are talking about replacing him, why can't this same situation transfer to another player like Addison if we got him ?

The bloke is only 21 why wouldn't he have a chance and get a game ? Mckenna is what, 32, 33 ? Do you really think he is gonna be around in 3, 4 or 5 years time ? Will Addison be somewhere in that time yes he will.
