Can't Play Left-Back
He was electric when we had him but he's not been that powerful, pacy winger/wide forward for some time. He adapted into being target a man quite well. 5-6 years ago I thought he deserved a chance with England as a completely different option, and even 18-24 months ago he probably would have still been able to do a job for us. He's past it now though. He no longer has the physicality, and that's what he's always relied on. He doesn't have the nous or technical ability to make up for it. He's also injured almost as much as Taiwo. Probably be alright in the Championship still, but I'd be seriously concerned if we were looking at him, unless we have some sort of time machine or access to the fountain of youth.

I mean I wouldn’t mind him as a bench option

It's not a transfer window until we're linked with him

I'd *just about* prefer to sell Awoniyi over Murillo, but if we replaced him with Antonio we'd surely need to spend a chunk on another striker. Wood was great last year but we can't be sure he'll be as good next season, and personally I don't think Antonio is anywhere near a fit Taiwo's level.

Mate of mine is a West ham season ticket holder and he always goes in about how he'd love them to buy Taiwo, probably says a lot about Antonio these days.

If it puts PSR to bed - and Murillo stays - it’s a great move imho.
But as I said previously this is pure conjecture - just hoping beyond hope that the big man has a cunning plan & both Murillo & MGW remain at the club.

Might as well just flog Awoniyi to West Ham then and that way we don't up with a turd like Antonio littering up the club

Sauce salad?
Wonder if this is a cheap backup for the Adams deal, in case he takes Saudi cash.

Would I have him back? Not arsed, though can see him doing a job from the bench in multiple positions so there might be some logic in it...
