Michael Tonge

Agreed - he's 25 as well, which seems like a good 'experience' balance.

According to (and I really shouldn't be citing it) Wikipedia, he "will be remembered by Sheffield United fans as a frustrating player of undoubted natural ability, who never quite fulfilled the huge potential he had. Although many great memories will remain of his time in a Blades shirt, with some indivdual performances of class only he was capable of producing in the squad at the time."

Then again, that is Wikipedia, and it was probably added by a frustrated blades fan.
 
I would be very pleased if we signed Tonge. A great player. I thought he ran the midfield at Sheff Utd.
 
Tonge was very good for United when they got promoted and then I think did ok in the Premiership, but was signed by Stoke when Sheff Utd went back down.

Good signing in my opinion.

Would be over the moon if we got both of these, and Mcsheffery would be just fantastic.

So it's not going to happen.
 
He hasn't been playing for Stoke as he's not good enough, presume he's been in the reserves. As soon as McCall and Brown stopped playing for us he went crap for some reason.
 
Tonge is only 25? He seems to have been around for decades!

Seems like he'd be up for a loan move.

"I haven’t been involved recently and it´s been disappointing. I have been in the squad but not on the bench. It´s doing my head in a bit. It´s frustrating enough being on the bench but when I´m not even making that, well…it gets a bit difficult."

He is a championship quality player. We should get him in before Reading. Him, Evans and Mcsheffry and Moussi could make all the difference to the feeling around the club at the moment. We still need a centre back but it's a start.

I agree that he'd be willing to go out on loan because he just seems to want to play and that blog entry sounds like he's quite annoyed.

I sent him a question asking if he has heard about anyone looking to sign him on loan and said he'd be a very good addition to our squad.

General arse-licking really, as most questions are on those sites.

No Forest player has a website with them, but Kris Commons does.

That's pretty much it. I'm holding the transfer kitty at the moment (currently stands at £37.40 plus a Mars Bar).
 
Michael Tongue would be a fabulous signing, remember him and Michael Brown playing together n the play offs and really dominating our midfield at times.


However, no player's website compares with this little beauty from Mr Comedy himself Maurice Voltz. ;D

He would have. Hes got photos from stoke n derby and no forest ones.
