Injury ends McSheffrey loan stint
Striker Gary McSheffrey's loan spell at Nottingham Forest has been cut short by a persistent knee injury.
McSheffrey is returning to Birmingham City to have surgery in order to get himself fully fit for next season.
The 26-year-old, who missed five months of the season with the injury, played four games during his stay at Forest.
And boss Billy Davies said a permanent deal could be brokered in the summer: "It certainly is one we'll consider because he has an abundance of talent."
Davies added: "He was a joy to work with, a first-class lad."
