Mcgugan's goal

psycho

First Team Squad
Who can remember a goal that good? I've only been going for about 5 years, but I sure can't. Unbelievable. I'd love to hear what Colin Fray was saying...he gets excited enough when Mcgugan scores from an attempted cross!

was in the trent end and couldnt believe it

Every time a thread of this nature pops up I have my response ready: Cohen's goal vs West Brom last year was better.

Raddy's goal in the same game was on par technically as McGugan's today.

Cohens against Blackpool needs a mention too. Joe Garners against Southampton was good. Raddy's against Derby at home.

Not sure if any were as good as todays though except maybe Raddy's at WBA.

I was in the upper Trent End level with the free kick and was actually thinking " Don't shoot from there" WTF do I know. You Reds

Two excellent choices. That was the best we had played in years(!!)...one of my most memorable away days.

Todays strike was certainly class, I was expecting him to chip it over the wall for someone to run on too!

I still have the highlights of the WBA game recorded and watch it every now and then when I'm down about Forest. The Cohen goal with it being just after Raddy's, sublime football, a great finish, at our end and meant we leapfrogged WBA that night is one of my favourite ever moments as a Forest fan. That night I thought we were unstoppable and when I watch it back I can still feel a little of how I felt at that moment in time(although I'm never as cold as at the time!!!). I know it's sad but hey.

Was in the Upper Bridgford & I don't think I've seen a free kick as good as this since Van Hooijdonk!

For those of you on Facebook, if enough of you 'like' my status my neighbours will name their kitten 'Lewis'.

Do it!

McGugan's beginning to be the star of our team this season; If he keeps this goalscoring form up he will win POTY by a mile. To be fair there isn't much competition at the moment!

I think this is the best free kick I've ever seen at the City Ground. I was in Exec Lower (as it was then) and I've never in my life seen a ball fly so far so arrow straight. Must be one of the hardest struck free kicks ever.

Was right behind it, as he lined up i said "that's going straight at the waAAAAAAAAAAAA f***ing HELL!" I also came a little in my pants. True story.

I couldn't get today, but just watched that clip of the goal, and the swerve on the ball is unbelievable.

It was incredible listening to it on radio Nottingham, you couldn,t actually tell it had gone in straight away, as the reaction of the crowd was almost shock rather than celebration, Colin Fray then went into overdrive, and you could hear the buzz from the crowd for about 3 minutes after the goal.

Personally I'd say Gunter has been player of the season so far!

Has anyone said "If that was a brazilian/rooney/Gerrard/Lampard we'd be watching that goal every week." yet?

There are moments when you realise why you are a season ticket holder and never want to miss a home game - just in case something like that happens.

Wow. What a strike.

Take a bow son.

I was in the Upper Trent today, I knew he was going to shoot but I was expecting him to miss or the keeper to save it but; OMFG! That's the best freekick I've ever seen in my life. What.A.Goal!

watching it at the match from b block i thought it was a straight in free kick but watching the replay the swerve on it is amazing
