McGoldrick Confirmed! (YES WE'VE ACTUALLY SIGNED SOMEONE!)

I think he's a good player.

The only problem is, we have 5 good forwards.

It's what is behind them that will determine where we finish in the table. We are woefully lack of numbers in defence and midfield, yet we always seem to be in the market for strikers!

We need a LB, RB, CB, CM, LM, RM and a 2nd GK. That's at the least really!

12 goals in a season...... are we moving forward?

1 less than a certain Dexter Blackstock who everyone seems to be spunking over

Add to that, the fact he played quite often as an attacking midfielder and (im just guessing here, don't know for fact) probably scored more than our entire midfield combined :)

BD wants at least 6 strikers, to keep them all fighting for places and playing at the top of their game. He will have enough to cope with any injuries and will also be able to put anyone who goes lazy into the reserves, and then if they do not buck up, he can easily sell them on without worrying about having cover.

Its a very wise move, you have to have lots of striking options and the more the better, to ensure they are all at the "top of their game".

Should be at least 1 more striker coming, maybe even two.

What McGoldrick gives us is options. Either as an attacking Midfielder or as an out and out striker which apart from maybe Tyson none of the others offer us.

I think it is a wise move from both an investment point of view and also squad depth options. It can only be a good thing to have competition for places to cover for injuries, dip in form or temper tantrums, plus we will have the option of maybe loaning out as well to get them first team football depending on how we start the season etc.

But I do think if we are still in the market for Adebola and Blackstock then we will be saying goodbye to either Garner or Tyson. I think we will benefit more from having Blackstock in the team as I think Billy has said before he offers something different again in a target man, I'm pretty sure neither Mcgoldrick or Adebola fit that role.

I do agree with what other people are saying though that other areas now need strengthening and I think it is in these areas that our transfer activities will determine our fate.

Why didn't you lot wait until next week?

You would have got him on a free because this club going to fold.

It won't.

Good luck next season Forest. I hope you do well.

It's funny how Clownty, a team who have achieved f*** all for a long period of time, gain a buyer. Yet saints, who, with a pretty large fanbase, spanking new stadium and a rich history, can't find anyone.

A sad sad state of affairs.

Good luck Saints fans, it must be a painful time for you right now.

Hi Forest fans,

Been a while since I posted on this forum, how has DMG done for you lot this season?

I can't say I've heard much of him, but have heard plenty of Dexter (great to see him doing so well).

Thanks.

Marshall.

Hi, McGoldrick has had a really poor first season for Forest. Many fans want us to sell him in the summer regardless of which league we're in. Hope you enjoyed that million we gave you because there's no way we'll get a million if we sell him in the summer, be lucky to get half that.

Yeah we enjoyed that £1m, without it we'd have gone bust.

It isn't suprising to hear that McGoldrick has had a poor season, especially with the amount of fire power you've got. A season in League One could have done him the world of good imo.

He quite simply cannot shoot. If he could, he'd be a good player, as the rest if his game is quite solid.

Please have him back we will chip in joel lynch as well just to keep them off the playoff bandwagon, give Garner his chance I think he could do a job in the away leg!!

Hes not been great this year, but he's not had loads of game time. He's only young and you can tell that he's got ability. He can find some passes that our other strikers can't and he works really hard.
So he's worth sticking with. If we dont go up he could be really important next year.

Its more his inability to get out of his own half that concerns melol

Hes got talent though, and in time maybe he'll grow to be decent signing. Lost of 5 minute sub appearances dont help.

It'd be nice to see him play up front, not in our box conceeding penalties.

What's that about round pegs and square holes, Billy?
