Nottingham Forest have today completed the signing of striker David McGoldrick from Southampton.

McGoldrick appeared in every one of Southampton's Championship games last season and topped their scoring charts with 12 league goals and two Carling Cup strikes.

12 goals isn't the best to say he started every game, It's a little average.
Earnshaw got more and he was injured for half of the season.

Might be a good signing, everytime I have seen him play he hasn't imprssed me.

But we'll see.
That's what I think anyway.

It's not great, to say he played in every single league game... 12 in 46 is a pretty average strike rate, basically 1 goal every 4 games.

But then, Southampton were pretty poor last season, and I've not seen any other stats about assists etc

I think 12 goals for a team that clearly were pretty crap and got relegated isn't too bad.

I've had mixed opinions on McGoldrick some are sad to see him go, but some really couldn't care less. Some may say the proof is in the pudding, and we shall see how he goes about it in pre season.
