They've just signed bednar on loan so it's possible.
 
wouldnt be a bad signing but even if it happend on loan he couldnt play against leicester, i also seen a rumor on the comments on a eveing post story that we were trying to get john carew on a 28 day loan to keep his fitness up has he his being sold to a german side, sounds to good to be true then it probubly is.
 
I think I may have scuppered the Wheater opportunity and am willing to take responsibility for our lack of movement on this one.......

I gave him some serious abuse which he must have heard very clearly during the Carling Cup game at the start of last season. Chambers was having a good giggle at it on the pitch!
 
why would we want a leicester cast off? :/

would rather see someone like ishmil miller from west brom. fryatt isn't a replacement for blackstock at all.

I'd have said the same about Luke Varney and Derby at the start of the season. But he is playing well right now.

Sometimes players just need a new challange. For me it doesn't matter where they come from so long as they perform well once they are here.

Absolutely right. Just about every player linked with Forest falls into two categories (1) too good and/or expensive to come here or (2) not good enough according the opinionated posters on here.

One really good example I can think of is Steven Carr. When he was suggested a couple of year ago he was apparently too old, too injury prone and looking sponge big wages without earning them. Since when he has played almost every game and is now captain of a Birmingham team that did well in the Premiership last season. I think he was probably good enough for us!
 
Agreed also. I imagine 3 managers in the space of 6 months has taken its toll on Fryatt's performance. He might be looking for a better environment.

Players are human beings after all.
 
Would have much preferred Bednar, but Fryatt is a decent back up. Lets be honest though, there's more chance of North Korea joining NATO than there is of us making a signing.

He's a bit of an all or nothing type striker isn't he? Either scores or offers nothing?

We need a striker, I'd have preferred Bednar given the choice of him and Fryatt but hey-ho.
